If anyone remembers a Jason Harris from Springfield and possibly Atlanta - late '80's - please call Craig Schneider (sp?) ASAP at 770-509-4098. Craig is a reporter for the Atlanta Journal Constitution and is trying to help Jason.

Thank you, Shelby

I'd like to speak to anyone who has recently gotten out of SAFE, say within the last year or so. Feel free to pass my email address to anyone who may be interested in talking to me.

My favorite thing to do was to inflict some serious kidney shots on the girls next to me when they were motivating then watch them frantically wave their hands at the fifth phasers. ::hehehmm::

Straight, Inc. and Derivatives / Someone Please respond to this!
« on: January 22, 2003, 08:38:00 AM »
Hang on, Thomas. There are Sarasota people here and I'm sure they'll post soon. Most folks check the board in the early evening, once the jobs and kids are in order. In the meantime, do yourself a favor - don't read too much all at once. As hard as it is to stop for awhile, do it. Remembering all this stuff can really tear you down if you aren't careful. I'm glad you found us and I've added you to my yahoo messenger. Take care of yourself.

Straight, Inc. and Derivatives / A New Topic
« on: January 19, 2003, 08:11:00 AM »
You're doing fine. By listening when he was ready to talk, you gave him exactly what he needed. Aside from that I think all you can really do is to keep loving him - and make sure he knows it - and be there to help when he's ready to stop using. I'll be thinking of you both.

Straight, Inc. and Derivatives / The Wheels on the Bus...............
« on: January 18, 2003, 08:45:00 AM »
Hey Bob! I'm happy the new job is going well. I've thought about driving a school bus, but don't think I could handle it. The kids, that is - not the bus!! The simple fact that the buses up here come equipped with a "body fluid clean-up kit" was enough to scare me away. Bet you're gonna have some great stories to tell.  ::bwahaha:: Keep us filled in, okay?

Straight, Inc. and Derivatives / Abortions
« on: January 02, 2003, 08:22:00 PM »
1. "Confidentiality" is the reason the program got away with forcing these girls to have abortions in the first place.

2.  I don't need to protect anyone's identity from those who were in the program at the time. We obviously know about it since the victims were forced to talk about it in group.

3.  Those who weren't in the program have no clue who I'm talking about, so the victim's identity is protected on that end.

4.  This message board is hardly the "world".

5. You sound like you're still in Straight.

You think child abuse is funny? You laugh at the thought of screaming kids being slammed to the floor? For the sake of everyone on the planet, I sincerely hope you're sterile.

You know all about being a pussy, don't you ANONYMOUS? Hiding behind your monitor, slinging insults, refusing to use your name, and still brainwashed after all these years. You sound like former staff to me. There's a special spot in Hell reserved for you and your kind.

Straight, Inc. and Derivatives / The ecstasy epidemic

Water intoxification is quite real. Usually infants and small children are accidental victims of well-meaning parents who think they aren't drinking enough water in hot weather, but it can happen to anyone.

"Drinking large amounts of water can strain the kidneys, causing excess loss of the mineral salts, sodium and potassium," Dr. Alpern explains. "This can lead to hypoatraemia, or water intoxification, a potentially fatal condition where the blood becomes over-diluted and the cells begin to swell."
