The Game: A Return to the Elan School, is the fifth book of my memoir series, and the story of the first book in this series, A Life Gone Awry: My Story of the Elan School. This book tells the history of the tough love industry from Synanon, to the Seed, to Elan and Straight Inc.as it is revealed to me by survivors in the aftermath of the closing of the Elan School.
When I found Danny Bennison trolling an Elan survivor group pretending to be a survivor, the first thing I felt was fear. When the fear was resolved I confronted him and said he was one of Elan’s worst abusers, and that I had written a book about it. Danny and his friends laughed and said I would never find a publisher who would go up against Elan’s lawyers, and I agreed, so I self-published on Facebook and posted chapters as I wrote or edited them.
From Synanon, to the Seed, to Elan and Straight Inc. a cult became a state sponsored industry. The Game asks and answers the question, “Who gave them permission to use this therapy on mentally ill and autistic kids?” and digs for the stories of the people behind the scenes. Joe Ricci, Miller Newton and Mel Sembler are assured a public legacy as criminals and child abusers, but there were men in the background, never spoken about. Nobody can find information better than program survivors, so The Game is an indictment of the men in the shadows who masterminded this crime, and made billions of dollars.
This is my story. This is our story. This is their story. This is an important part of our nation’s history.

None Ya, in Wayne's small pee brained mind he thinks if he writes a book and says in the book that someone raped him, it makes it true. What is true is Wayne is a confused homosexual with a made up girlfriend by the name of Liz that he dumped in CT or NY to run out to Missouri. He says it was to write this rag mag he calls a book. Wayne is in love with me and desperately needs to hang off my testicles and record what he thinks are my everyday moves. This guy has me posting under so many different names it is incredible.
Here is something comical, his best friend Matt Hoffman, well Matt also worked at Elan after he graduated and while he was in the re-entry phase of Elan. Matt stabbed one of my best friends while at Elan and then assulted the man again after they both left Elan. I was just down the road for that attack. Matt loves to stalk me on the internet. He calls it following up on ex-staff. What people need to know, Matt Hoffman got to Elan at least a year prior to me, Matt was one of the senior residents when I came in. I was trained by Matt and by people like him.
Wayne likes to say I was his director, well, I was never a director. I was an Ass. Director for a month and a half. I will not cover it again because if people want to go back a read my past posts, we/I have already covered that. It would have been impossible for me to have been Wayne's director. We also covered that Albert Beauchane was in Elan 7 when Wayne says he was there but doesn't remember him at all, nor does Wayne know him from then.
There are at least 9-10 people on various sites who knew me when I was at Elan, none of them have come forward and corroborated any of what Wayne has said. Wayne tells us,"Well they haven't said you didn't do it". Yes they have Wayne, all of them have said it, right to your face but you choose to ignore it. I know for a fact that Peter Arnold, KLynn, J.Baer, Al Beauchane, Joy Brown and I could go on, have never told you that I committed any of the violence you mentioned.
Now you think you have the bomb. Danny raped me in his office. You think this flies because you can put it in such a way as I can not refute it. It was just you and I in the office. Wayne(if you are Wayne) you are going to have to prove you were there with me and you haven't even accomplished that.
Plus Lee Goldman when she reads that you are including her in this book, by saying I wanted her to commit suicide, Wayne she isn't going to take this lightly.

Check out Wayne's friends, Mark Babbitz (do a background check on Mark, you will be surprised), Matt Hoffman can not stay sober to save his life, the house Wayne is staying at the owner had to go to prison for his second DUI, Wayne is unemployed not because of any injuries (that was pure bullshit, I know we checked him out) Wayne does not have an education, is ill tempered, has more untreated mental issues then one person should be allowed and cries to his landlords repeatedly, that they should take care of him because he can't do it himself. Wayne's brother kicked him to the curb because he is sick and tired of being ripped off, manipulated and lied to. His writers blog Absolute Write banned him because he is foul and abusive. WAASP banned him also from a site for calling a young girl of 21a cunt. When asked to stop by this young lady he told her to shut up and take it. She disagreed with his assessment of the program she went through.
Basically people, Wayne Kernochan is a piece of shit that crawled up out of some gutter saw an opportunity to fuck someone over and possibly make some money. This is what scumbags like him do. This is why Elan and their survivors want nothing more to do with the likes of this guy. You are a fucking liar and you do not represent Elan or our Survivors. Get Lost Wayne Kernochan.
In conclusion, No Wayne we are still not going to sue you, even after you made these rape allegations. Why, you might be wondering? IMO, I really think these 2 memoirs will be the albatross around your neck that hangs you in the long run. You have blown this simple tragic story so far out of proportion that you can't even begin to understand anymore why you even started it. Wayne, you were brought in at the request of 3-4 Elan people who wanted someone to write a story. You think you are Jonathon Ziv, hiding behind another name that represents many, no you are not. You Wayne Kernochan do not represent Elan, you did not tell our story, not even close. There are books that are forth coming that will take care of that, I gave you an opportunity to be a part of the writing team but no you had to act like the the juvenile delinquent, and you rebelled. Don't even tell people you rejected the offer because you did not, I have an email from you begging me to reconsider my offering. You dont know what you are talking about, Wayne. I could write a book titled "Microsoft Founder abused me". I could find 5 ex-employees to side with me (for potential royalty kick backs). Then I could write whatever I wanted about Bill Gates and create a nice juicy book and make millions. The problem is that no publisher would ever touch it or expose themselves to a law suit that would cripple them. You will have to notify Elan of your intentions and have them sign off on the book (saying they have no evidence to dispute what you say) prior to publishing it. If you use peoples real names they need to be notified also and the publisher needs to be comfortable that they will not sue (or cannot sue them).

So Wayne it is time to update people on your status.
Wayne is in Missouri at a house owned by a fellow Elanian, this person asked Wayne to watch his house for about 90 days while he went out of town on business. Wayne was asked to perform certain duties as part of the agreement for staying there.
Let me back up the story a bit, Wayne lives in NYC (Queens) and also in Connecticut. But not like a normal responsible person. Wayne vasicilates between both states ripping off landlords, his brother and sister, his friends and so on. He refuses to work and throws out this stupid bullshit story about falling on his back, so he can't work. Wayne never fell, his back is fine and his only problem is being a scumbag.
Back to Missouri, so Wayne is acting like Wayne, a lying and cheating bum. This guy who owns the house Wayne is in, has this old friend of his, coming by the house periodically checking on things, he begins to realize Wayne is trashing this guys house, he is using this guys extra car, (Wayne doesn't have a license) and isn't taking care of the guys dogs. Wayne isn't feeding the dogs regularly. Now if this isn't fucked up I don't know what is.
This guy went to Élan, he is a survivor, he has asked Wayne to leave his house (through this old friend of his) and Wayne will not leave this guys house. Wayne even went so far as to talk with a lawyer.
Wayne, LB gave you an opportunity to leave NYC and visit his Missouri home. What the fuck are you doing screwing this guy over. You are taking advantage of him.
Now to change the subject. Some one you don't know Wayne, has a question for you.
Wayne, why is it that every book you have written so far is a memoir? If these are memoirs, are they somewhat true or absolutely true. One more question, why haven't you put your picture on your memoirs, either outside or inside the memoir.
Wayne, this same person went to the library and sought out at least a dozen memoirs and he noticed that everyone had a picture of the author either inside or the outside (front or back cover).
Wayne why is there not a picture of you? Also, why has no one come forward and said they recognize you by either your name or by your story?
Put your picture out here, Wayne. We want people to know who you are. Wayne are you afraid?
So, what we need to ask ourselves today is when the whole Wayne debacle is going to be over.

OK I can dig that you want to support a book. Well first off it is not a book all it is, is a story by a person. Your characterization of reasoning or explaining your concept of the authenticity of Waynes story is beautiful because * S___ G________ (Jeff Wimbelton, Grassyhero) told me the same thing but he was honest he didn't care if the book was honest or not he wanted to use it to close Elan.

I finished the book last night and loved it. I would give it 5 stars, and I have no doubt Danny raped children in his care. I don't care that he was only 19, he knew rape was a crime at 19
There's more to tell, but this book does a great job of telling the story

49 years gone...
I've never dreaded old age, but, never looked forward to it either. Then, my 49th birthday came, and on that day, I sat quietly and counted my blessings, and, this year has been an exceptional one. There had been tough times, but, there have also been great accomplishments.
My brother is a drug addict, and he stole our rent money for months, and this month, we were evicted because of it. Even when I did drugs, the rent was paid. The judge was sympathetic, but we refused to have my brother locked up, so, victim services wouldn't give us the money he stole. In the end, we're safe, and have a nice place in Torrington Connecticut, so, age has taught us how to deal with adversity well.
At the same time, my books have been selling well. A Life Gone Awry: My Story of the Elan School, is my biggest seller. One year ago yesterday, Elan announced that it was going to close, and news of this book spread to hundreds of thousands of people.
As much as I want to write romance, my memoirs aren't done, and I'm OCD, so, I can't move on until it is. I'm almost ready to release, Out of the Darkness: A Story of Love and Hate and AIDS.
How many writers have written four memoirs? None I can find. I don't know whether to be grateful for my screwed up life, or if I would have been happier living a normal 49 years, writing romance. I think I could stand the boredom of a ho-hum life, and, I love writing sex scenes, so I think I would have been happy.
However, I was dealt the hand I was, and I've played it well enough to live to tell the story. Stay tuned for news of my next release. It's going to be a good one

Wayne is full of shit, his brother did not steal his rent money nor has negatively impacted his life. Wayne is the drug addict and alcoholic and Wayne blew through the rent money and then skipped out on the apartment leaving Elizabeth and his brother to clean up the mess.
Wayne is an expert on blaming everyone else for his problems he creates.

Relocation, relocation, relocation
So, I'm in Lebanon, Missouri. It's a long story.
This is as good a place to finish my nervous breakdown as any :P
Seriously, I'm house sitting for a friend while he's away in rehab, and when he gets out, I'm going to rent a house here and buy a motorcycle because I can afford to do that here with the money I'm making from my books. I like that idea :)
Liz will be following me in April. I miss her but time alone has kickstarted the next book, and this book needs to be done.
So, that's me for now :)
He never did a damn thing in Missouri aside from fuck over Larry Beck ex-Elan survivor. Wayne was thrown out of Larry's house and thrown off of the Elan F/B site because he did not live up to his responsibilities.
Elizabeth, never got to make it there because once again Wayne was a selfish prick.

Work, work, work in progress
So, the boring country life is working out well for my writing. The Game: A Return to the Elan School, is up to 16,194 words, 44 pages and is done with the first edit. I have 5,921 unedited, but that's more of an outline than anything. It's too much, too fast
As they say, "You don't write a book, you rewrite a book"
I was attacked for saying that on my Facebook wall once, but the person obviously has never written a memoir
I look forward to the end of this book because I have two erotica shorts and two romance novels in varoius folders, ready to be written. Actually, rewritten :)

My time here is done. The wife misses me.
The people here are very nice, and the prices are the best, but I have a new plan, and may land in Virginia or Florida for a while. So, August 3rd I'm off to Connecticut.
I'm not getting any younger. I want to see places and meet people. :)

I just created an account and i've read all about anchor academy from post from 2004 and 2005. That is were my concern is. I was a tudent and was physically beaten, emotionally abused, and sometimes denied food and bathroom priviliges. I remember on one ocassion i said "oh my god" and i was choked out and i woke up and asked what had happened i was told by sam white that i used the lords name in vain. I have horrible stories about what happened to me and other kids. I cannot relate to anybody about my experiences because nobody can understand the severity of my situation. If your interested please write me. Please.
