http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540/vp ... 9#39543246Watching this episode is when I started looking over the web to find out with of the programs were still operating. My brother went to Tranquility Bay, and came back a completely different person (much for the worse). He cannot speak about the atrocities that went on while he was there.
Anyways, after watching this and the public response, people really don't realize the extent of the horrors that went on at some of these programs. Sutton's actions were completely inexcusable, but when he was on the stand really stuck out to me. My brother is incapable of any emotion except anger, except when his experiences at Tranquility Bay are at the forefront of his mind (instead of being pushed to the far recesses).
I guess my question is, are there groups that are trying to make these "schools" more publicly known for the fraud that they are? The public misconception that this "spoiled adopted baby just wanted his dad's inheritance" is way off base IMO. I really feel the built up hatred and unforgiveness towards his parents for voluntarily putting him through the hell. I hope that this is an isolated incident, but I'm really worried (not just for having a brother with very similar circumstances) that it is a widespread issue that does not get enough attention.
