Dodd is running too!    Senator from Connecticut.
Back stabbed his "friend" Joe Leiberman in our local election, because Leiberman ran as an independent. Just think how he would act if he was Pres.
Go Rudy!!!

Hey Art,
It's nice to hear from you. My family is doing well.  Brian turned 21 last week and he is working at my family business.
Marshall is doing well at ski racing.  I feel like I finally have my family back together.
 How about you???

Hi Mike,
That merge occured the month before my son arrived.  The enrollment was not big enough to have three houses open.
House 7 closed.  It is now an office and storage for candy, soda, toiletrities ect.
How have you been? Well I hope.
I haven't been here for a while due to all the crap in print.  It is embarassing to be a part of, and of no interest to read.  Too bad that a couple of disturbed people have to spoil things.

Hi Folks,
Ewww, I sound like George W.  Is anyone doing anything exciting this summer?  The weather here in CT is NASTY!
So humid, it feels like floating rain.  Everything is moldy.  I am enjoying staying indoors.  What a thrill!
How about the rest of you???? ::cheers::  ::burger::

Sweet!
It reminds me of the lakes in Maine and Vermont.
We are heading to Oregon at the end of the month. Marshall is going to a ski camp at MT Hood. We wouldn't just put him on a plane by himself so we are making a vacation out of it. I only intend to ski one or two times there, just to see what it is like. I am hoping to spend a lot of time rafting kayaking and fishing.
It will be nice to have no kids around for five days.

Art,
What do you have for boating there?  (water source) It must be SO much better skiing and tubing in a lake instead of the putrid  :skull:  Long Island Sound. No big salty waves to knock you around. No Jellyfish! No creepy parasites to give you a rash.
How I wish we had something clean to swim in.

I understand, many people are having trouble with their motors because of some new law that has added more alcohol to the fuel. I think that might be part of the reason our boat isn't getting used yet. I know is in the water, but I don't think it is working. I'm clueless!
Mabe next week?
Hey, and stop "drugging" those kids .

Okay............we're even!
I hope you had a nice Fathers Day too.
We had a great day, but it is getting very humid.
I vote for one week of winter!
Remember that bad guy from "Underdog"?
He could change the weather with his special machines.
 Now those were REAL cartoons!

Art,
You have a good point there. When you cannot see facial espressions or here a tone in a voice, things can be perceived in the wrong way.
You must admit, you HAVE been pretty hard on me.
Being one of those "middle children" I seem to have trouble backing off when someone doesn't see thing through MY eyes. They don't need to agree, only to look. (I hope that makes sense) I'm half asleep.    Goodnight   I love those little faces.

P.S. Brian is doing pretty good, but he has a long way to go in the maturity area and I an Very concerned about his drinking.

Thank You Art, That was nice of you to say.
You were pretty angry for a while. I'm happy to see that has passed. We all have our low times. Hopefully they don't last more than a day or two.
How are you and your family doing anyway?
 Well, I hope.

Yes Art!
I only read one post and saw that one of you guys had mentioned this forum.
I didn't even read the content, I just skimmed to look for names that looked familier.
I don't look here very often anymore. All I do now is download music, shop and look up information.
You would think those fools would get sick of their own garbage. It is old and juvenile.
It's too bad because it ruins it for everyone.

It is nice to see you guys are still around.
I hope everyone is well.

Elan School / A peacefull day
« on: February 05, 2006, 08:31:00 PM »
Hi Mike,
I hope all is well with you. We went skiing last weekend(as we have to do every weekend)and it was beautiful on Saturday. I put my helmet away and took out the sunglasses. It was like a spring day!
Sunday, we headed over to Blanford for a race. I decided not to ski and to stand around writing times at the finish line instead. Just as the second race ended, the sky seemed to open up an pour. PERFECT timing!
My son came in first place in the 11 year old group. He won second place the week before. It is really getting exciting.
Did you happen to see Bode Miller on 60 minutes? He was also in Time and Newsweek. I like his attitude.

You are better off at work. It is POURING RAIN and 38o. The river near us rose up about a foot in less than 2 hours. This is traditionally one of the coldest weekends of the year.

We took a drive over to Magic Mountian just to check it out as an option for Sun or Mon.
CLOSED- The trails are bare.
CREEPY!!!!!

You have to consider the source and move on. It is a sad and lonely individual, who would have nothing better to do than make up stories and try to hurt people. A real coward!

There have been some very nice people here, only to get turned off by the relentless bullshit and personal attacks."

My Eighth Grade Daughter does not even act so immature! She certainly would not be so vulgur!

Do not pick on Eighth Graders they are a lot more mature than some of the idiots that post here!

You have a very good point. My 6th grade son, nor any of his friends would ever act or talk like that either!
I was just reaching for that "puberty stage" when some kids act out because the are seeking attention. (even if it is the wrong kind)
