It is not the site itself which creates a positive or negative effect, rather, it is how we respond to the often sudden, flood of memories of our own experiences that dictate the effect.  Admittedly, my own initial reaction was highly negative, although expunging those memories here was quite cathartic.  On the heels of that initial reaction, I made a full fledged effort to turn the tide, to make some kind of a difference with a positive goal; I hope that I helped a few people.  I do feel that the effect, as a whole, was negative, due to the obsession inspired in reaction to the experiences of myself and others, although there were some bright, positive moments when I felt as if I had helped a few people because of those experiences.

Am I so much more stable and mentally/emotionally whole since I stopped haunting Fornits regularly?  Nope, but I'm a little less obsessed and a little less angry.  I miss some of the friends I made here too.  I also discovered that I'm not as open and accepting as I thought I was.  I was highly disappointed in myself.  An apology is due and I don't know how to express it, but there it is, for what little it's worth.

Can you expound on the abuse you personally were subjected to?  A generalistic claim of abuse is typically difficult for say, a prospective parent who may be considering sending their child there to understand.  If you would be willing to elaborate a little, you could prevent someone elese's child from going through what you've been through....

That has to be the singlemost horrific thing I've experienced since Rebekah.   I have you to thank for tonight's feature nightmares.

What the F****  You want to complain about your experience... go ahead... I have them too!  You do not know my friends that died and your use of them to make your claims feel realistic PISSES ME OFF!  YOU did not know Enola, Sue, or Cheryl, or even Elaine (which I did not know personally), so posting this about their death is what? Make you feel better?  Why?  Roloff was a good pilot and find me where he did anything different than the others.  I am sorry for your shit, and you have been right about a lot of stuff, but bitch about the shit you know.. do not pull my friends, my dead friends, into your bitching!

1.  This was a presentation of facts.  I'm sorry they are painful to you.
2.  No, I couldn't have known those girls, which is why my only comment was to state that Lester Roloff's hubris killed them.
3.  What Roloff did that other 'good pilots' just like him did, was to disregard weather warnings and fly anyway.

If Lester Roloff was a "good pilot", I don't want a good one.  I want a fucking fabulous pilot.  One who won't get me killed.

I do not have an official obit yet, will be on the lookout for it.  Sources indicate he died December 25th.
