Yes it is true sources are confirming that Kids Helping Kids in Milford, Ohio have shut down and are not seeing any clients there in Milford, Ohio. more of the story here:

Accomplishments in Pathway's History
~ In 2002 Pathway Family Center received the "Families Count" award from the Anna B Casey Foundation. Pathway was one of ten organizations recognized for our outstanding work in making families stronger.
~ Drug Strategies, a national research institute promoting effective approaches to th enation's teen drug problem, (Washington D.C.) recognized Pathway Family Center as one of only 144 adolescent drug treatment programs in the country that met their definition of "what works in adolescent drug treatment".Pathway is the only program in Michigan, and one of two programs in Indiana, identified as meeting the guide's criteria for effective teen treatment.
~ Terri Nissley, CEO & President of Pathway Family Center was featured as one of Florine Mark's Remarkable Woman (Michigan) in April of 2005. She was itnerviewed on WXYZ's Ask Florine television show and Magic- WMGC 105.1.
~ A Pathway graduate client and parent spoke at A Special Town Hall Meeting in August 2004 - Metropolitan Detroit & Southeast Michigan event. The event was sponsored by Partnership for a Drug-Free America. touching on their experiences with drugs and alcohol, the negative effects on their family, their recovery, and the postives of their lives today.
~ Pathway Family Center has partnered with Birmingham-Bloomfield Families in Action (BBFA) by providing speakers at events, information ot the community, and Pathway website link resources about drug and alcohol use among teens and where to get help.
~ Pathway Family Center was invited to participate in the Annual NIPAW - National Inhalant Prevention Coalition Conference in Washington D.C. A pathway client - a 16 year old female who was an inhalant user shared her story about the abuse, destroyed family relationships, and her recovery process at Pathway.

Straight, Inc. and Derivatives / Pre-Program Premonition Dream(s)

I had the wonderful opportunity to discuss this subject recently with another program survivor. The other survivor was apprehensive in telling me this part of their story for fear that I would think of them as "crazy". I assured this person that nothing could surprise me anymore within the survivor world of the troubled teen industry at all, and that I had pretty much heard it all. The survivor felt more comfortable after me saying that and decided to open up to me. They stated that they had had a dream of going into the program before they actually were put into Pathway Family Centers program in Indianapolis in early 2004. They also reported to me that they actually saw the inside of the building in the dream , as well. this particular survivor got out of the program somewhere in 2005.
I was in turn able to share with this survivor that I too had had a premonition dream about going into Kids Helping Kids in 1988. I was placed in Kids Helping Kids in Hebron, Ky shortly thereafter in June of 1989. After hearing this survivors particular story about the dream I tried like heck to think of common threads between the two of us. It went something like this: "Okay, so we went to the same program under different names. We suffered through the same treatment modality and abuse. Both programs are direct descendants of the STRAIGHT INC. treatment modality stemming from THE SEED , as well as, SYNANON. " I then thought to myself, "Yes, these are all common threads between us, but what else could there be?" So, I started to ask this survivor about their upbringing and so forth. I found out one other common thread between us and that was this; at least one of our parents was involved with real estate as we were growing up. My father worked for Century 21 as a realtor and one of her parents did realty , as well. Although this is one common thread it may or may not mean anything.
I am still searching for other program survivors who have had this same experience, and need help and more thought from others on possible links to other common threads among us.
I feel in my gut that there is definitely something to this, and will not stop until I find out some answers. I got to thinking harder about it, and maybe it has nothing to do with our parents at all, maybe it goes as far back as our grandparents. My grandfather was a free mason...he was pretty high up in that organization. He was a staunch contributor to Ronald Reagan and his wife Nancy, and was awarded the title of Kentucky Colonel from the government of Kentucky for public service. This is an unusual award for an "ordinary citizen". this award over the years has usually been reserved for elected officials, and actors, actresses, and entertainers, such as Rosemary Clooney , etc...
Now, I am not saying that my grandfather was not a remarkable, deserving person at all, but combined with other stuff I do know about him....I am suspecting that he got sucked into something that he didn't really know about in the name of the "drug war" and in the name of "saving childrens lives".
Since I just thought of all of this about my grandfather, and that thought process had taken place after I had spoken with the other above mentioned survivor I am not sure if this would be any kind of common thread. So, I am putting this out there in case that it may be and also in case that others have had the same experience.

POV PROTESTER NUMBER ONE FEMALE
We see a gold-like colored compact 4 door sedan car coming up the driveway towards Branch Hill- Guinea Pike. An Adult person is driving the passenger vehicle with three minors in the back seat. Three children are seen in the back seat of the car writing in confession journals, noticing one boy on the back left side writing something furiously.
CUT TO:
EXT. ACROSS THE DRIVEWAY PATHWAY FAMILY CENTER, OHIO EVENING
ANGLE ON:
POV PROTESTER NUMBER TWO FEMALE
She is facing inward looking down the driveway, and watches a car PULL UP the driveway towards her and Branch Hill- Guinea Pike. The car is a metallic gold in color. In the back of the car she notices a boy with sandy blonde hair on the left hand side in the back seat wiggling about and turns around quickly.
CUT TO:
EXT. ACROSS FROM THE DRIVEWAY PATHWAY FAMILY CENTER, OHIO EVENING
ANGLE ON:
INT. CAR BACK SEAT EVENING BOY WITH SANDY BLONDE HAIR

PROTESTER NUMBER TWO runs out in the Driveway yelling back to the child asking for help; chasing the vehicle in the driveway with her arm raised and outstretched in the air above her head pointing.

Standing across the street directly across from Pathway family Center's driveway she sees PROTESTER NUMBER TWO running out in the driveway and a gold car approaching Branch Hill -Guinea Pike at the end of Pathway Family Centers driveway. There is an adult driver of the car and three male minors in the back seat. She see PROTESTER NUMBER TWO SHOUTING in the cars direction. On the back right side of the car in the back seat she can see a child having a notebook grabbed from him by another male child sitting in the middle of the back seat. The male child sitting in the middle is then seen laughing and holding the child's notebook. PROTESTER NUMBER THREE sees the gold car PULL OUT with TIRES SQUEALING and PROTESTER NUMBER TWO shouts across to PROTESTER NUMBER THREE.

(shouting loudly)
What are the last digits of that plate?
We hear the LOUD SOUND of CARS PASSING. The gold car is traveling southbound on Branch Hill-Guinea Pike. PROTESTER NUMBER THREE walks across the street to PROTESTER NUMBER TWO and hands her a cell phone. PROTESTER NUMBER TWO dials three numbers on the cell phone and holds it up to her ear.

Yes, I need the Miami Township Police in Ohio please. Okay.
Yes, I would like to file a report for welfare and where about on a child that I just saw in the back of a car.

Where your emergency located at, Ma'am?
PROTESTER NUMBER TWO
Well, we have been standing out here protesting this treatment program located at 6070 Branch Hill- Guinea Pike in Milford, Ohio , and that is the location where this is occuring.

I saw a child in the left back passenger seat turn around in the car, smashing a sign that he wrote up against the back window of the car that said "Help me!", The child looked about 12 years old, and is a boy with sandy blonde hair. I am worried about the safety of that child, as he was asking us standing here for help.

Okay, Ma'am we have an officer in route to your location. We are putting out a bulletin for that car right now. Can you give me a physical description of the car?
PROTESTER NUMBER TWO
The car is metallic gold in color and I believe it had a Kentucky License plate. I got a partial license plate of 123 either ane or ame.
