Title: Troubled Teen: Parents, please think twice before .....
Post by: Anonymous on June 15, 2005, 01:30:00 PM
We would strongly urge parents to think twice before sending their child to a residential program (teens, pre-teens, young adults) and before using teen escort services. Many are not licenses or regulated (both the faciltiies and programs and the escort services.)

Look for warning signs, read articles and personal stories at:

http://www.caica.org (http://www.caica.org)
http://www.isaccorp.org (http://www.isaccorp.org)

And read others' experiences right here on fornits.com.

Many families are broken, not healed, from experiences at these places so please read warning signs, read others' stories before you make that final decision.

i got a list that goes on and on and on and on that says other wise

I believe that human beings arrive on this Earth wanting to know absolutely everything, and the best thing we can do as parents is to get out of the way -- just be there to let them know what opportunities are there

well guess what son have you ever been to either of those sites? They list goes on and on there as well, and my personal experiance says that those that get out of the program are nothing to be pleased about either, because they are broken people with no indiviually, accept maybe their religion, my friend who came back was forced to stop practicing hers and she is just getting it back.

I can only speak for myself, of course. But, yes, I have read some about the psychological aspects behind cults like WWASP, and the techniques they use to break down their captives and convince them of the higher purpose of the group.

Because we study. I am knowledgeable about cults, yet I don't call WWASP a cult, I just think their a bunch of abusive people that need to be hurt, and this is how they do it. If you acually read about it and get a few books its not that hard.

So you going to respond to what I say? Or attack my language? Is'ent that one of the things they do in group or at the simenars or some such place, now lets be a good little WWASPie and respond to what I have to say.

I would rather be exposed to the inconveniencies attending too much
liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it.

Because intelligent people like to learn about themselves. When a person is victimized by abuse or a traumatic experience, it is helpful to understand what happened to them in order to heal from the experience. Knowledge is power.

I cannot see how a man of any large degree of humorous perception can ever be religious -- unless he purposely shut the eyes of his mind and keep them shut by force.

thats stupid....u said one thing smart i think... there not cults... there just wacked out. i think some staff go in there with the mind set.. actually all of them, go in there thinking im going to help change someones life.. amazing, then eventually it becomes a power trip. i hated those staff memebers who thaught they were better then me.

What was done with the seed saved from the India Hemp last summer? It ought, all of it, to have been sewn again; that not only a stock of seed sufficient for my own purposes might have been raised, but to have disseminated the seed to others; as it is more valuable than the common Hemp.

Ok, I understand, as I said on another post, they did not harm you physically but they did emotionally, do I understand the situation? And you dont like them, but you do think they were trying to help? You just dont completely hate them or somthing?

How can anyone "enjoy" a seminar? how can anyone enjoy being forced to share their "deepest, darkest secret" with strangers, and them get ripped to pieces and have your personal issues used against you/ how can anyone benefit, not to mention enjoy, an EST-style seminar?

I went on this site to get this parent resource book for troubled teen and the people emailed me back with a website to go to called parentoptionts.com ( haven't checked it out yet ) because they also sent me three websites to check out and they were the 3 main places everybody is talking about Casa By the Sea, Spring Creek Lodge, and Ivy Ridge. Ater checking them out and reading all of these horror stories and what all these poor kids and people went through, I think I will handle my own problems with my daughter. She is only 15 and there is still hope for her and alot of room for her to grow. If anything like that ever happened to her somebody would really be fuckin sorry, because they would be hearing about me on the news!! :flame:

I dunno. Are you hitting reload when you back up after posting? If you figure it out, please let me know. Maybe there's something I can do to make that not happen.
