Click on the Link above for the news story.  Daniel split from Cedu in 2004.  His father Wayne Yuen was a registered poster here at fornits, who came here several years ago seeking help and advice to find his son.

Many of us (including myself) did our best to help Wayne out.  
Wayne is a good man, who genuinely wanted what was best for his son.  Unfortunately, Wayne learned the hard way that despite all of their bullshit propaganda and promises, Cedu wasn't a good environment for anyone.  Wayne did not hide the fact that he sincerely regretted sending Daniel to Cedu, and I respected him immensly for being man enough to admit his mistake.

We never did hear back from Wayne of how things worked out.  Wayne, if you are reading this, please let us know if you found Daniel, and how he is doing these days.

Also if anyone else knows anything, please share.

Deanna was in my peer group at Cedu RS.  We were fellow "students" together.  
I recently found out that Deanna was one of the early staff members at HLA,
back when Rudy Bentz was headmaster.  

I personally couldn't stand Deanna.  She was a total program
tool  when I knew her Cedu RS.  She had absolutely no
self-esteem, and bought into the program completely, with
almost no resistance at all.  She defines the word "sheep".  
Deanna ratted me out and got me into trouble with staff more
times than I can remember.  Seriously, Deanna contributed
a great deal to making my life hell at Cedu.

I really don't give a shit about Deanna Kontos (I used to call
her Cunt-os), but I must admit that I am curious about what
she was like as an HLA staff member.  

Can anyone out there fill me in?

Mel wasn't running the day to day activities  when I was at Cedu, but he would visit to check up on things every few months. I talked to him once, he was a dick. He was also a fat, ugly, old, slob, I mean the guy was gross. He smelled BAD too. I just couldn't believe how everyone kissed his ass, and built him up all the time like he was god! What A Fucking joke! To me, Mel seriously looked like a child pornographer!

I could never figure how this guy managed to con so many people out of their money.  I mean from what I saw, the guy had no charm, charisma, or appeal whatsoever. Personal hygene didn't seem too important to Mel either.  I know he must've done something right to control so many people, but damned if I knew what it was.  

Just curious if there's anyone here who knew that sick fuck Mel (former staff perhaps), and might have some insight on how he did it.

Also, if anyone cares to bash on all of the bullshit superman stories cedu told about mel, I'd love to hear from you as well.

I pulled this statement off of the opening page at the LAME-ASS CEDU ALUMNI SITE.  I'm not trying to single this kid out or anything, In fact, I feel really sorry for him.  But I had to do it.  Why?

Because this is the end result of a Cedu education: confused, uneducated (or at least undereducated), scared, kids,who can barely spell, let alone function in normal society.
Does this poor kid sound like someone whose been "prepared to go out and Lead a Successful Life?"  Cedu neglected & failed this kid, like they did to generations of other kids before him...but as long you collected your tuition checks on time, it didn't matter...right Mel?

This is yet another prime example of why Cedu was shit, and their "emotional growth education" was fucking worthless.

That's 37 Names that I can remember from the top of my head, Ottawa 5. Thirty-seven names of kids who attended & dissappeared from Cedu-RS during my stay there (Dec 28, 1990-July 6, 1992).
Add myself to the list and that makes 38. Thirty eight Kids that I can name, who disappeared in the year and a half that I spent at Cedu-Rs. And there are many more names that I can't remember
Ottawa 5, MANY MORE!

Many of these names are Kids who were in my peer group, the majority of them split repeatedly until they finally got away and were never heard from again. The others refused to succumb to Cedu's Mind Fucking tactics, and were shipped off to various mental hospitals, wilderness survival camps, and lock-up facilities.  Some were pulled.

I just gave you 38 people who no doubt feel severely wronged by Cedu, that's 38 people who I can name! And I saw what I described happen to a lot more kids, but it was 12 years ago, and I can't remember them all. Perhaps Bryan remembers more.

I'm not the only one here with a list of names Ottawa5. Every poster who comes here has their own list of names, we just haven't found all of the people yet. There Are thousands of us Ottawa5, and YES, WE DO REPRESENT THE MAJORITY OF FORMER STUDENTS AT CEDU SCHOOLS.

Still not convinced Ottawa5? Well, you don't have to take my word for it.

New Info / JOHN DEWEY ACADEMY

A friend of mine from New York from a long time ago once told me that he spent a couple days at some school back east (i don't remember which state) called John Dewey Acadamy.  He only spent a few days there, but from they way he described it, the John Dewey program sounded similar to the Cedu/Synanon mind-fuck cults.  Has anyone here ever heard of this place?  I'm just curious.
