No Problem.
I can't fault anyone for speaking whats in their heart.
I'm sure the program helped more than anyone will ever speak of.
Never the less we will all still be connected for ever through our experience.

I'm hanging out waiting for someone else to respond to this thread.
For the most part it seems like the only activity there is on this forum.

I ride a GT ZR1000 that I custom built. It weighs in at around 17 pounds. Built with aluminum titanium and carbon fiber
Also a Bianchi Alfana that I built into a time trials bike.
I had to go with lonebikerdude1 because lonebikerdude was already taken.
Do you cycle or did you think it was motorcycling?[ This Message was edited by: lonebikerdude1 on 2005-12-01 18:15 ]

I remember both of those names. I just wish I could place a face with them.
Tell Barry I hope things get better for him someday and that he is not alone.

It was mike shanahan...and the building was the milton roy building and yes it did look like a train station. There was also a female staff member named marcy who got caught up in a lesbian ruomr. Also a female staffer named robin. There was Tom Vida who later ended up in a psych ward. Someone named ron and his wife debbie.

I just recently found this site.
Wow! Talk about feelings flooding back!
It's all I can think about from the time I wake to the time I drift off to sleep.
My name is Bryan. Last name used to be Rodocker.
Anyone out there remember me?
I was in from 76 to 78.
Right after my 18th birthday I got as drunk as I could!
I went through a period of that for awhile.
Some nights I was so drunk I don't know how I made it home. I guess it was a rebound effect from everything that happened.
I'm happy to say that today I can drink socially or alone and have not progressed to the harder drugs that I was promised I would end up on if I ever took another drink or smoked another joint for the rest of my life!
I don't smoke pot anymore though...it started making me WAY too paranoid!
How do you post a pic?
I don't see where is says how to attach a file.

Morgan Yacht / WOW OUR OWN FORUM!
« on: November 30, 2005, 09:41:00 AM »
I was in Mogan Yacht when it first opened. I came from the Milton Roy building. 30th person there.
I recently made contact with someone from my era.
We even went to the same high school!
What a great feeling to hook up with someone like that.
Too bad we can't post small photos.
It would be great to see what everyone looks like.
Is anyone from this era still in St. Pete or Tampa?
Has anyone tried to get together a reunion type of meeting or anything?
Bryan

I couldn't figure out why he and his younger brother lived at his grandmothers house.
As far as any river rat was concerned I'm sure that was all in his head!

Straight, Inc. and Derivatives / Letting go
« on: November 25, 2005, 09:56:00 AM »
The problem I had was realizing what had acctually happened to me.
Then came the anger.
Now I am trying to find out how to let go.
I needed to first understand that it really happened no matter how subtle the method.
I know that letting go will come in time.
I'd like to recover my self esteem and all that I lost.
I have the strength, it has gotten me this far.
Devine intervention has led me here.
These scattered thoughts race through my brain.
I'm trying to find the thread to stitch them together.

Straight, Inc. and Derivatives / Is this forum for real?
« on: November 25, 2005, 09:42:00 AM »
It was strange. I was really scared.
The place looked like an old train station.
I landed there because of an old friend who was there before me. Thats how they got their clients back then.
Someone would get to second phase and then would go talk to the parents of a friend.
Next thing you knew you were in intake.
I arived there with a bag of pot on me so they told me if I didn' sign myself in they would get a court order and put me there through a judge.
I figured I had a better chance if I went ahead and signed. Besides that my mom was crying and it killed me knowing that I was the present cause of her pain.
She had a brother that ended up in a psychiatric ward because of drugs and did'nt want to se me suffer the same fate.
I remember...Tom Vida,Mike Shehan,Marcy ?,Robin ?, Ron ?, and of course Miss Peterman as counselors.

The thing that really got to me later is that I found out these guys were preaching to us about the evils of drugs then going home at night and drinking and smoking pot!

I'm looking for people from that time peroid.

If you know one of the counselors mentioned above or even someone from that time frame could you please have them reply to this post?
The one person I'd really like to talk to is Tom.
I think he knew something was wrong from the get go. He was the one person that I feel I made some kind of connection with.

Thank you for responding to my post.

I hope more people do.[ This Message was edited by: lonebikerdude1 on 2005-11-25 06:44 ]
