Um...i quit when i was 30, but my quota of Good Drunks had been depleted, and only a pile of Bad Drunks were left.  Enjoy all the Good Drunks you can.

Reality is, I'm tired, and i really wanna think we're not going to fuckin' need a lifetime of pharmacy and therapy to fix what was never broken.  Reality is, I'm beaten down and lied to by PV staffers, lawyers, well-meaners and demeaners, and I want to shut down every fucking facility like PV there is, after this business in the Court is finished.

Excellent.  We've got an extremely resiliant child in PV, she'll be fine with a little help.  I think self-esteem issues will be a problem, as I'm sure they are for every kid coming out of these facilities.  Thanks for the boost, I've been worried about how re-adapting to the outside would affect our patient.

You know, i had a dream I did that, it involved a Jet-ski across the lake, though.  I watched the Tranquility Bay documentary, man, some of those kids will never be able to work or interact on a "normal" level.

We know about a place in Maryland that is truly therapeutic and it might be a restorative stay for a child coming out of some serious shit like this.  Flat screen TV's and PC's in every room, house keeping comes around and cleans, and it works on a level that isn't behavior modification, action=punishment crap.  Plus, the staff are familiar to all involved in this mess.  No one has any complaints about the treatment there.  I could use a stay myself.

saltpetra, huh?  I know you, DrNogatco.  You're that Kool Keith guy, laying a con on us.  You can't fool the Original Black Elvis.

To think, I used to live that boozed-up lifestyle.  Sometimes i miss it, but if I try to imagine myself over 40 and still waking up with gin-breath every morning...Damn.

Well put,TSW, and right.  If you can't relate to your child, ship them off and destroy whatever good relationships they had to stifle your guilt.  Parents that never grew up and out of the boozing and drugging seem to be the ones who send their kids off to hell for showing the same interests.

Right now, we need to find an attorney, show him everything and start all over.  The counselor with the photography interest is one of the better ones, I've heard from alumni.

I did say something to that effect earlier in the thread.  I'm not out to demonify anyone.  I believe some people thought linking two disparate occupations was questionable.  It was used as leverage, and on that level, it seems to have caused something, good or bad, I don't know.  That's the hell of it, is the absolute shut-down of information.  You have to wonder if a child is even alive, and not being able to pick up a phone and talk to them or even get someone to give you a report with out having to bring outside agencies in is soul crushing.

Now to start the legal shit all over.  I'm sick to fucking death of  seeing my significant other be lied to, denied basic rights and left out of this "process" because of concerns about the facility.  Without a doubt, it's been proven abusive and lacking in educational programs and even proper sanitation that would prevent things like E.Coli.   I'm sick of the whole fucking business.

Yeah, you're right, TSW.  I'm just wound tight because of the legal hassles I'm having.  Attorneys have left me with nothing to do but vent. They've caused a delay that's got me in a rage.

Wicked imagination?  Sick sense of humor?  I call that sadism and child abuse.

I'm finding the devil in the details more and more, in the most unlikely places.  If it sickens you, good.  Maybe it will sicken some  parent who's thinking about a place like PV, and they won't sell their child to the "devil".

There's a nice little WWASP on foreign soil that might suit your needs:
Innuendo Bay, located off the coast of Yomama.  It's got NATSAP, JCAHO, HOMO NOMO, every seal of approval you can buy.

NATSAP is a paid-membership club.  Pay your dues, agree to follow their "ethics" and do a self-survey to assure yourself you're legit.  If there were anything behind it, NATSAP wouldn't be the worthless "seal of approval" the facilities present it as.  Check a facility's IEP's, how well they work with previous schools to get information, and check out sites like this http://tennessee.schooltree.org/private ... 21022.html
Sorry for the gratuitous slap at PV, but you can get to the homepage from here.

Hot fun in the Summertime at PV...one way in, no way out....
We blew the picture up, and it doesn't look like razor wire, but it does give the indication of wanting to keep someone in badly.

Peninsula Villains...as Greg Dulli eloquently puts it, "You want the dog, I'll let him out.  Come and get some, baby,"

The razor wire?  That's not tough.  It's visible from Jones Bend rd., running along the edge of the lake.   I'll see if it's legally okay, a certain person and I are coming under a little fire from Peninsula Bay, uh, Village, as you can probably tell from my earlier post on "First thing I read..." with the vulgar shout-out to the staffers/counselors trolling here.
