If so, I need to either compress (prolly a bit, I usually do) and/or better illustrate the connection. Anything that just plain doesn't make sense at all? Any other suggestions?

It could be a little more concise, maybe, but not if it would cramp your writing style. The highlighted text was a little off-putting to me; at first I thought it might be a glitch, or something. I have not upgraded to G+ and don't intend to. At this point I don't want it for anything but email...but that's just me. And I recognized the background picture (I love that photo; I had saved it a while ago from some page I don't remember.) I had to skip the part about the kid in str8 because I had already read your account of it years ago, and because my brain just can't take it right now. Nice job overall, and I hope some of this feedback is helpful.
