Has anyone heard anything about Apen's weight loss camps. I'm looking at Camp Wellspring in New York for my daughter. Any info would be appreciated.

Why don't you try a medically approved balanced diet and keep the Twinkies out of the cupboard?

To be fair to the mother, she may not know whats going on in these places. To us it is obvious, but to a woman who is going to send her kid away to a 2 month "camp". It's not so evident.
To the mom: dont sen your kid to anyplace where she is not allowed to call you whenever she feels- pretty much.
Where you are not allowed to call her whenever you feel-all the time.
Where she does not have intsant acess to a phone to call for help
Where they monitor her calls or mail.
If they seem to deviate in any way from a regular camp.
