I have made many observations about the so called "survivors" posting on fornits. The one distinct common denominator in all of them is guilt of committing abuse. For whatever reason they started abusing other kids while they were in a program , and now they feel guilty about it. The only explanation which allows them to self forgive is convincing themselves that programs are evil and brainwashing kids to abuse each other.

Setting up an Us against them argument, is not going to end this argument. period. try better.

I was in a program and NEVER once saw a staff member abuse a kid.

No Shit! Where is this program? Gosh, It should be so well known it shits out rainbows worth of credentials. Is it endorsed by god, and sponsored by oprah yet? Does it have UN members and noble peace prize winners as prime shareholders?  Gtfo before you shoot yourself more.  :suicide:

It is very sad that our country turns a blind eye just sits and does nothing to help our fellow man. I think why this is happening is because of the fact the citizens of that nation are undereducated and live in utmost poverty. With those factors at hand, These people are subjected to the humiliating nature of conformity and are subjected to extreme disillusion thinking that violence, in the name of their gods, is of righteousness. I do not know this for a fact, but Maybe the story about Africa suggests a charismatic leader or priest is behind such atrocity. I have not watched to whole thing, I admit, but it sounds like something a lot of right wing American fundamentalist Christian extremists would have delusions about.
