i'd like to hear from you guys who were directly effected by the closing of the brown/cedu schools.
so, if you would (granted you are, in fact, out there) please post a bit about how you were informed, how it effected you, and what's going on in your life now that you're gone.

i'm really sick of seeing all of the mindless anonymous posts on here; as time goes on, they seem to take up a larger amount of space while the content matter depreciates inversely.  
i think if there weren't an anonymous posting option, there would be a less of this garbage because people wouldn't want to take the time to fill out a registration thing before posting ? and if they do, at least they were dedicated enough to jump through registration hoops to be seen.

ginger, is this even an option?
what do you guys think?

it's not really like having a pseudonym makes you any less anonymous anyway.

have you ever asked a high schooler why they'd been sent to cedu?

chances are, you got a one or two word answer (i.e. drugs, family problems, etc...) maybe a short combination hit; drugs and family problems.



have you ever asked a middle schooler why they'd been sent to cedu?

you'd typically get an answer that sounded something like this:  "lying, cheating, stealing, manipulating, sexual issues (which usually meant something like playing truth or dare.. sometimes these kids had sex, but a good amount of them were either virgins or had had sex with one or two people), family problems, depression, drugs, low self-esteem, suicidal tendencies" -and the list goes on and on and on and on... literally.. these kids would never give you a simple answer short of 5 things.  they would rattle their programmed list off to you every time.  in retrospect, i remember it bringing these kids into a sort of trance-like state; they'd spu them in the same order... they had their issues down and ready to go awaiting someone to pop the question.

just an observation...
i was curious if anybody else had caught this.

everyone's info is kinda spread all across the board, so, i figured, this would be a good way to have all of our information consolidated so that it's a bit more organized.

surely, some of you guys used to have those same conversations that my friends and i used to have about conjuring up the energy of the whole school to revolt.   too bad we were never confident enough to make it happen....
reading through another thread, i saw that something like this happened at cascade causing the school to crumble.
i was just thinking that if the students at one skool were to netwerk with the students in their skool, as well as the students at the other skools, and there were to be a whole "family of services" type riot, it might do something.
perhaps it's wishful thinking, but hey, it's a seemingly valid thought.

it's crazy, one of my best friends now is a girl that i never really spoke to at cedu... for some reason, we decided, after having chilled a bit toward the end, that we would go out for chinese food post-cedu (she was leaving a couple months after me).  well, apparently you can see what happened.
in the past week, we've been looking through old stuff... pictures and this video of a play that they put on at cedu.  i've realized how weird it was that this strange group of kids was just thrown together.. and i regret not having spoken to more people.  
the one thing that really got me was watching this one guy in the video; i was such a bitch to him... i mean, he was always so sweet to me (he even called me post-cedu.. he was in my peer group and obviously liked me,) but i couldn't really understand his perversion in the way that i can now, and so, often times, i was really stand-offish and mean.
sometimes i wish that i hadn't hated myself so much in the past.. but what am i going to do about it now?

i guess i was just wondering if anyone else had any similar thoughts on people from cedu.

as some of you may know from my other posts around here, i'm compiling a book of stories about cedu experiences.  this is what i feel that i need to do right now to get more information out there to prevent more children from being sent away these types of.
i'd like stories from every angle about every element of their experience; students, family members, ex-staff members, therapists, etc. talking escorting, "the program" (and your experience with it), parental manipulation, or whatever else you'd like to write about.  if it's necessary for legal reasons(ex-staff members/therapists), published anonymity is ok (and encouraged, if that's what you need to come forth... i'd absolutely love to have any sort of staff member's perspective represented in my collection.) however, i cannot let you stay anonymous with me (such information would NOT be passed on, it simply serves the purpose of verification.) my integrity will not allow me to publish something that i have doubts about; i need to be 100% confident in my collection's credibility.

my book will be formatted so that every person's story gets it's own chapter for which i'll most likely write an introduction.  there will be minimal editing, as i'd like to keep them in your own syntax, only making necessary grammatical corrections.

at some point, i'd like to start working on some sort of film (a compelling and firey 'michael moore' style documentary.)  for this, i will also need your input, however, i'd like to start working on my former project a bit more intensively before i get into this one.

anyway, please let me know if you'd be interested in having your story/insights divulged.  we need to be heard to make the sort of change we're striving for.

my friend adam told me that he started spuing about how his whole cedu career was bullshit.  wow, at least this pedapheliac fuck can admit to being a sadistic bastard.
