Nope, just take away his art collection and his condo at the Park in Buckhead....he may shrivel up on his own.  But.....what goes around comes around......and if he DID do jail time, perhaps the jailer would be a former student......poetic justice I would say!

No, not Bill White.  But he is not the only one that has "the right" as you call it.

I am an ex-employee and I can honestly say that I am disgruntled as hell.  Not so much for what they did to me there, more for the fact that I stayed as long as I did!  Disgruntled or not, facts are facts.  Everything that has been "gotten away with" in the past will catch up with them.  More and more people are speaking up.  I have spoken with several people already regarding what I saw when I was there.  Things are FINALLY being done and I for one am very happy about that.  Matt Aiken......expect my call!!!!!

Hardly "guest".  I have not worked there for quite awhile now.  I just do not like being misquoted.  No reason for you to be confrontational.

From what I hear, there is no infirmary.  They call it a dispensary and use AC staff to give medications.

No Guest, I am not afraid of losing my job.  I no longer work at that "Therapeutic" (cough cough) school.  I just do not wish to be misquoted which is why I log in when I post.

.....and again, there is the issue of him being in charge of the dispensary.  You would not appoint a "self-proclaimed vegetarian" fox in charge of the hen house would you?    Just my 2 cents worth!

Glad you made it out okay.  I am former staff.  If you were there a year ago, drop me a PM.  I would love to say hello.  Hope you are doing well at home!

The Ridge Creek School / Hidden Lake Academy / good vs. bad

I like to think that during my time there, I was one of the good staff.  I guess we all want to think that, but in my heart, I believe it and I strived for it.

The Ridge Creek School / Hidden Lake Academy / intervention

From when I worked there, they did do conference calls with the parents and counselors.  I am not sure the extent of what they told them about the "intervention", but I do know they had the calls and received consent.  (At least verbal.....and to what degree they divulged about the program, I am not sure)

They do not sleep on the dirt.  They are given "ridge rests" which are pads used to seperate the person from the ground.  They do alot of hiking during that time, but they are fed and are given plenty ofwater.  The majority of the rough part about intervention is the amount of exercise they get during the 7 days or whatever length of time it is.  I am unsure of the sandbag portion, but I do know that they have to carry packs...much like at Ridge Creek.

The Ridge Creek School / Hidden Lake Academy / bounced checks?
« on: August 09, 2006, 11:20:19 AM »
I can honestly say that none of my checks ever bounced while employed there.  That must have been after my time.  I can't imagine anyone would still work for a company that could not pay them.
