We had a thread about this program last month. (Link here) (http://http://www.fornits.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=25742)

While some describe the home as caring, none wants to tell how they deal with unruly girls which have been placed there to "surrender" to God. You have to ask yourself. How would you force anyone to accept a specific belief? What is needed?

We also have a wiki page about this place, but it is not very much we can tell (http://http://wiki.fornits.com/index.php?title=Rachel_Academy_for_Girls). They are very private about what kind of program they run. Not even a parent manual or student handbook online like so many schools offer today so parents know what they sign their kids up for.

What are their communication policy? What are their policy about consequences and food? Can they accept if a child comes from a home where the family attend another kind of church than the church they are working with?

We have seen it so many times before. Parents who cry after the program about them not knowing about extreme corporal punishment, isolation, starvetion and time spent in cages. The only thing that can prevent such torment is opening the doors.

Rachel Academy may be a good place, but the history of Christian based behavior modification programs leave everybody outside the program to be very critical about it as long as they close their doors and hide what they are doing.
