The Mummies rocked!!  I used to have a few of their 45s, too.  I loved the ambulance they used as a tour van.  Never got to see them, I'd moved back Easdt before I heard of them.

I don't remember that much in the way of names of the venues and dives that the band I was in (Reptile House) played at on our tour of this great nation back in 1985, but one of the names that I do recall is that of The Mabuhey Gardens in San Francisco. Do you remember this place, Castle? RTP2k3?

Speaking of pretty nice theatre type places, we opened for Toxic Reasons at one in Kansas City...I don't recall the name of it. We rolled into town late for some reason and almost missed the gig..

If you would have justice in this world, then begin to see that a human being is not a means to some end.  People are not commodities.  When human beings are just to one another government becomes obsolete and real freedom is born; SPIRITUAL ANARCHY.

My friend lived next door to them for a while. He said they were loud motherfuckers. He knew for certain it was the Mummies because their ambulance was always parked outside.

Their stuff was finally compiled onto two CDs. "Death By Unga Bunga" and "Never Been Caught". It's funny, too, because I'm sure you recall, their 45s always had the words "Fuck CDs" printed on the jackets. Well, on Death by Unga Bunga, it has "Fuck Vinyl. Ha ha ha." on the back of the jewel case.

The only downside to the two CDs is that they don't have the Devo covers that they do on them, "Girl U Want" and "Uncontrollable Urge". Which sucks, because those were awesome covers. Fortunately, I have it on vinyl.

The good news is that Death by Unga Bunga has a great cover of Zip a Dee Doo Dah. Oh my god, it's fucking amazing.

There were some great bands in the 90s. I remember I found out about the Mummies around the same time I discovered The Monomen, Jaws (saw them play live, amazing), Man or Astroman, and New Bomb Turks.

So how was that Lindsay Lohan???? I take it that it belonged to your kids? lol   I've been getting tortured with such acts as Green Day (do those words go together or are they seperate?)

Oh shit I almost forgot Kelly Clarkston. Shit I feel like puking when listening to her. At least my kids mock her and jump around like nuts like she does in some stupid video of hers.
