Sonic Youth - Tom Violence
« Reply #510 on: October 24, 2008, 12:31:13 PM »
My violence is a dream
A 'real dream'
A skinny arm
A crush on living sin
My violence
Is a sleeping head
Nodding out to rising bliss
I left home for experience
Carved 'suk for honesty' on my chest
My violence is the number
Coming out of prayer
Find it in the father
Find it in a girl

There's a thing in my memory
Holding on for dear life
With a feeling of secrets
Beating up under my flesh
My tongue is tied
I'm sleeping nights awake
Tom violence is a dream
Coming out of a girl

Son of Nun - Imagination
« Reply #511 on: October 25, 2008, 12:49:06 AM »
Breath, breathe, chest heave, rise, fall, eyes close, heart slows, the mind blows open doors, the tour's begun. Welcome to your imagination. The rhyme bends and shapes light like gems found on the road of life reflecting light that's found within you and me. Our energy's just flowing while the boundaries of our minds keep growing. Please refrain from thoughts of limitation. No seat belts are needed on this form of transportation. How far you go depends upon if you let go and let your soul direct the flow, it's all up to you baby and just maybe if you let your light shine you'll find the gravy. Soular nourishment that makes your mind stay flourishing despite the pain the tragic rain keeps nurturing. Word is bond when son is on life's prolonged cause I'm draining power from the shower provided by dawn. Light strikes mics and ignites insights into soular populations who've been deprived of their rights. The imagination and the heart and the mind must combine to represent the soul at any given time, if you refine your current state of mind you'll find that you have always had the power to design and transcend space and time. Get ready if you're feeling that your load is heavy. Come on jump in the chevy cause we're rolling to the levy. We're gonna make a drop off and loose the pain that's so ingrained in hopes that we'll gain another perspective on how to live.

I board the train traversing terrain metaphysical, deeper than digital, landscapes are created with lyrical spirituals written on spherical windows of the mind. Written with understanding and written with time. Bodies in motion coasting on hope and inaction reach destinations based solely upon their soul's interaction with traction provided by others who struggle to discover what it is that could make life a more bearable word to utter.

Understand beyond the program you and I are more than human

Our lifespans withstand the demands of time's sands so don't ever believe'em when they say you're less than. For I am, not a thing more than the breath of life born in the form of this man. I spoke with the four elements and breathed the sediments so that I could exhale rhymes as evidence. Cause this life and this time is manifest in the depth of each breath in this rhyme. So let the power that it shines combine with the rhythm we're given to strike the prism of the mind so that it resonate with a spectrum that pulsates direction with each thought's inception. No question this rhyme section has been designed to alter you're minds reflection. I'm a master in the art of suggestion and I'm painting with brush strokes that stoke insurrection. Revolution begins in the mind, loose sight of that and you'll get trapped in time. Them belly full but we hungry, hunger and poverty are manufactured by each country. What is the purpose of poverty in this global economy but to provide cheap labor for the monopolies. Third world versus the first, no competition, since the days of colonization they've been locked in submission. Capital class system cannibalism, facilitated by greed as well as racism. Latin America, Africa, Middle East, and Southern Asia know the story of the beast clan. Life made unlivable by invisible hands who subjugate them to market demands.

Wilco - Theologians
« Reply #514 on: November 08, 2008, 03:40:04 PM »
Theologians
They don't know nothing
About my soul
About my soul

I'm an ocean
An abyss in motion
Slow motion
Slow motion

Inlitterati lumen fidei
God is with us everyday
That illiterate light
Is with us every night

Theologians
That don't know nothing
About my soul
Oh they don't know

They thin my heart with little things
And my life with change
Oh in so many ways
I find more missing every day

Theologians

I'm going away
Where you will look for me
Where I'm going you cannot come

No one's ever gonna take my life from me
I lay it down
A ghost is born
A ghost is born
A ghost is born

I'm an ocean
I'm all emotion
I'm a cherry ghost
Cherry ghost

Hey I'm a cherry ghost
A cherry ghost

B. Dylan - Outlaw Blues

Ain't it hard to stumble
And land in some funny lagoon?
Ain't it hard to stumble
And land in some muddy lagoon?
Especially when it's nine below zero
And three o'clock in the afternoon.

Ain't gonna hang no picture,
Ain't gonna hang no picture frame.
Ain't gonna hang no picture,
Ain't gonna hang no picture frame.
Well, I might look like Robert Ford
But I feel just like a Jesse James.

Well, I wish I was on some
Australian mountain range.
Oh, I wish I was on some
Australian mountain range.
I got no reason to be there, but I
Imagine it would be some kind of change.

I got my dark sunglasses,
I got for good luck my black tooth.
I got my dark sunglasses,
I'm carryin' for good luck my black tooth.
Don't ask me nothin' about nothin',
I just might tell you the truth.

I got a woman in Jackson,
I ain't gonna say her name.
I got a woman in Jackson,
I ain't gonna say her name.
She's a brown-skin woman,
But I Love her just the same.

Black Sabbath - Megalomania
« Reply #516 on: November 23, 2008, 07:56:05 PM »
Quote from: "Megalomania"
I hide myself inside the shadows of shame
The silent symphonies were playing their game
My body echoed to the dreams of my soul
It started something that I could not control

Where can I run to now, the joke is on me
No sympathizing God, its insanity yeah

Why don't you just get out of my life, yeah
Why don't you just get out of my life, now
Why doesn't everybody leave me alone, now
Why doesn't everybody leave me alone, yeah

Obsessed with fantasy, possessed with my schemes
I mixed reality with pseudo god dreams
The ghost of violence was something I'd seen
I sold my soul to be the human obscene

How could this poison be the dream of my soul
How did my fantasies take complete control, yeah

Why don't you just get out of my life, yeah?
Why don't you just get out of my life now?
Why doesn't everybody leave me alone now?
Why doesn't everybody leave me alone, yeah?

Well I feel something's taking me I don't know where
It's like a trip inside a separate mind
The ghost of tomorrow from my favorite dream
Is telling me to leave it all behind
Feel it slipping away, slipping in tomorrow
Got to get to happiness
Want no more of sorrow

Realized when to hide
How I tried to get away from you now
Now am I right if I fight
That I might just get away from you now
Sting me!

Well I feel something's giving me the chance to return
It's giving me the chance of saving my soul
Pictures of demigod are fading away
I'm going backwards but I'm in control
Feel it slipping away, slipping in tomorrow
Getting back to sanity, providence of sorrow

Was it wise to disguise
How I tried to get away from you now
Is there a way that I could pay
Or is it true I have to stay with you now

How I lied, went to hide
How I tried to get away from you now
Am I right in my fight?
That I might just get away from you now
Suck me!

I'm really digging schizophrenia, the best of the earth
I've chased my soul in the fires of hell
Peace of mind eluded me but now it's all mine
I simply try but he wants me to fail
Feel it slipping away, slipping in tomorrow
Now I've found my happiness, providence of sorrow

No more lies, I got wise
I despise the way I worshiped you yeah
Now I'm free let me see
That now instead, I won't be led by you now
Free!

This is a song I cover and dedicate to everyone who refuses to become the expected product of their past.  Bonnie Raitt probably had a different meaning behind the lyrics.

---

That was then and this is now
Found my way back in here somehow
I knew you'd have to let me go
I told you once I told you so

Take me down
You can hold me but you
Can't hold what's within
Pull me round
Push me to the limit
Maybe I may bend
But I know where I'm not going
I will not be broken
I will not be broken
I will not be...

Someone other than who I am
I will fight to make my stand
Cause what is livin' if I can't live free
What is freedom if I can't be me

Take me down
You can hold me but you
Can't hold what's within
Pull me round
Push me to the limit
Maybe I may bend
But I know where I'm not going
I will not be broken
I will not be broken

I won't let you near it
I will let my spirit fly
Fly
High
Oh take me down

Take me down
You can hold me but you
Can't hold what's within
Pull me round
Push me to the limit
Maybe I may bend
But we both know I'm not going

I will not be broken
I will not be broken
I will not be broken
I will not be... no...

---

Stay happy!

Lately
I've been
Living in my head
The rest of me is dead
I'm dying for truth
Make me
Believe
No more left and right
Come on take my side
I'm fighting for you
I'm fighting for you

Pleased to meet you, take my hand
There is no way back from here
Pleased to meet you, say your prayers
But I don't care
No way back from here

Wake me
I'm ready
Something don't seem right
I was dreaming I was talking to you
Memory
Mend me
You know I've seen my share
Of things I can't repair
I'll break it to you

Do with Your Mouth
« Reply #519 on: January 16, 2009, 10:27:49 AM »
Hot rubber lips blowing across the Bozo fields
Perception comes and gets twisted up between what you think and feel
And you've got too much to do with your mouth
You've got too much to do with your mouth
You've got too much to do with your mouth
You've got too much to do with your mouth

Having lunch with the Dave Clark Five
Sipping tea with Chairman Mao
You're having lunch with the Dave Clark Five
And sipping tea with Chairman Mao
And you've got too much to do with your mouth
You've got too much to do with your mouth
You've got too much to do with your mouth
You've got too much to do with your mouth

Even though I walk through the valley of hair
I will not repeat
I will not repeat the platitudes that I hear spoken there
And you've got too much to do with your mouth
You've got too much to do with your mouth
You've got too much to do with your mouth
You've got too much to do with your mouth

Hot rubber lips blowing across the Bozo fields
Perception comes and gets twisted up between what you think and feel
And you've got too much to do with your mouth
You've got too much to do with your mouth
You've got too much to do with your mouth
You've got too much to do with your mouth

Tool - Opiate

Choices always were a problem for you
What you need is someone strong to guide you

Deaf and blind and dumb and born to follow
What you need is someone strong to guide you...
Like me
Like me
Like me
Like me

If you want to get your soul to heaven
Trust in me, now don't you judge or question
You are broken now, but faith can heal you
Just do everything i tell you to do

Deaf and blind and dumb and born to follow
What you need is someone strong to guide you
Deaf and blind and dumb and born to follow
Let me lay my holy hand a, hand upon you

My god's will
Becomes me
When he speaks
He speaks through me
He has needs
Like i do
We both want
To rape you

Jesus christ, why don't you come save my life, now
Open my eyes, blind me with your light, now
Jesus christ, why don't you come save my life, now
Open my eyes, blind me with your lies, now

If you want to get your soul to heaven
Trust in me, now don't you judge or question
You are broken now, but faith can heal you
Just do everything i tell you to do
Jesus christ, why don't you come save my life, now
Open my eyes, blind me with your light, now
Jesus christ, why don't you come save my life, now
Open my eyes, blind me with your lies, now

Deaf and blind and dumb and born to follow
Let me lay my holy hand a, hand upon you

My god's will
Becomes me
When he speaks
He speaks through me
He has needs
Like i do
We both want
To rape you!

Roky Erickson- Bloody Hammer
« Reply #521 on: January 25, 2009, 10:58:22 AM »
Demon is up in the attic to the left
My eye turns to the left to say, "no"
You said, "First, I am the special one."
I never hammered my mind out
I never have the bloody hammer [x3]
I never have the bloody [x2]
I never have the bloody hammer

I am the doctor
I am the psychiatrist
To make sure they don't think that they'd hammer their minds out
or that they'd have a
or that they'd have a bloody hammer [x3]
or that they'd have a bloody [x2]
or that they'd have a bloody hammer

Second, I am the special one
My eyes, green and blue
and safely unbegotten
to the left to say, "no"
While the others with their hair turned white,
they just roll their eyes back to the top of their head
and hammer the attic floor with a bloody hammer
I never have the bloody hammer
I never have the bloody [x2]
I never have the bloody hammer

It's not a sledgehammer
It's not a chisel
It's not a train
but a thought of unlimited horror for Dr. O'Chane
Dr. O'Chane

Baby ghost says beat it with your chains
Baby ghost says don't drag your chain away, Dr. O'Chane

Doctor O'Chane, Doctor O'Chane
the baby ghost says "beat it with your chain"
the baby ghost says "drag your chain away, Doctor O'Chane."

The ghost says, beat it with your chains
The ghost saysa drag your chain away, Dr. O'Trey

All bats are is Dracula vampires
Vampires in rain
Vampires in lightning for Dr. O'Chane
Dr. O'Chane

The baby ghost in the 1900s says beat it with your chain
The baby ghost says
don't drag your spoon, drag your chain away, Dr. O'Chane

Demon is up in the attic to the left
My eye turns to the left to say, "no"
You said, "First, I am the special one."
I never hammer my mind out
I never have the bloody hammer [x3]
I never have the bloody [x2]
I never have the bloody hammer

I was talking
When I should have been listening
I didn't hear a word that anyone said
It might not have been so very important
'Cause I was concerned about instead

What's going on
What's going on
What's going on inside my head

(repeat)

THE KINKS--"BIG SKY"
« Reply #523 on: February 05, 2009, 03:11:29 PM »
Big sky looked down on all the people looking up at the big sky.
Everybody pushing one another around
Big sky feels sad when he sees the children scream and cry
But the big skys too big to let it get him down.

Big sky too big to cry
Big sky too high to see
People like you and me

One day well be free, we wont care, just you see
til that day can be, dont let it get you down
When I feel that the world is too much for me
I think of the big sky, and nothing matters much to me.

Big sky looked down on all the people who think they got problems
They get depressed and they hold their head in their hands and cry.
People lift up their hands and they look up to the big sky
But big sky is too big to sympathize

Big skys too occupied
Though he would like to try
And he feels bad inside
Big skys too big to cry

One day well be free, we wont care, just you wait and see
til that day can be, dont let it get you down.
When I feel that the world is too much for me
I think of the big sky, and nothing matters much to me.

Ministry - So What

"You have had all that money can give you, but that wasn't
enough. You became a thrill-seeker. Kill for the thrill.
(assassin) This thrill-seeking became the one great thing in
your life, planning one thrill on another until the murder. Kill
for the love of killing. (guilty) Kill for the thrill. The
thrill-seeker comes from all walks of life. He comes from the
home, a home where the parents are to busy to treat their children
with respect."

Die! Die! Die! Die!
Scum-suckers! Debility divulged!
Anal fuck-fest, thrill Olympics
Savage scourge supply and sanctify
So what? So what?
So what? So what?
Die! Die! Die! Die!

Die! Die! Die! Die!
You said it!
Sedatives supplied become laxatives
My eyes shit out lies
I only kill to know I'm alive
So what? So what?
So what? So what?
Die! Die! Die! Die!

"Kill for the thrill. (assassin) Some people think newspapers
exaggerate juvenile crime. All that is defined mostly to the
large cities, juvenile delinquency is underlined. Thus parents
think something is going wrong with the environment. Adults
create the world, children live it. Juvenile delinquency is
always rooted in adult delinquency. And in this process, parents
play the key role when children grow up among adults who refuse
to recognize anything that is fine and good, or worthy of
respect."

Die! Die! Die! Die!
So what, it's your own problem to learn to live with
Destroy us, or make us slaves
We don't care, it's not our fault that we were born too late
A screaming headache on the promised age
Killing time is appropriate
To make a mess and fuck all the rest, we say, we say
So what? So what?
So what? So what?
Die!

Die!
Now that I know what it's like,
I'll kill them all if I like
Only time will decide
No one listened to reason,
it's too late and I'm ready to fight
So what? Now I'm ready to fight!
I'm ready to fight! [x4]
Fight! [x4]
So What? [x6]
