May be time to face up to the fact that your son is probably not the same as he was. He may talk the talk, but it sounds to me like he is doing some soul searching and could use his moms open heart and mind.

My child was a witness to Joey's abuse, and Chris never hurt Joey in any way. You should know your son well enough to know he would not participate in abusing another kid. All he did was lie to protect Mark and Cheryl Sudweeks about their abusing of kids at the Whitmore. AND kids like my child and Joey can recover emotionally from what they suffered at Whitmore from the Sudweeks, as horrible as it was. It should have never have happened! We all sent our kids to the Whitmore as PER OUR CONTRACTS for education and therapy--not to be abused in ANY manner.
The really sad part: The Sudweeks have continued to abuse kids SINCE NOVEMBER 2004---including this past Parents Weekend. What happened to Carl was child abuse, PERIOD. Not allowing the kids to eat all day Friday was child abuse PERIOD. Keeping those kids up until 3AM for a raving Cheryl GROUP SESSION and having them sleep deprived was child abuse, PERIOD. Cherly Sudweeks throwing Matt down the basement stairs was child abuse, PERIOD! The abuses have not stopped.
The Sudweeks must be held accountable for all their abuses of these children!!!!

Miss Gentile you can support the Sudweeks all you want but you are not going to get an ounce of understanding about THAT here. Not an ounce. You should take the advice offered a couple of posting above and open your mind to your son and listen and learn what the Sudweeks are REALLY ABOUT. Why would Chris lie to you? What could he possibly have to gain by telling lies about them to you?

Do you actually THINK that the parents of these abused children actually allow their wounded, damaged children to know about this site, or to visit this site? OF COURSE they don't!!! These children are in school, doing their regular activities--sports, music etc...they are involved in their day-to-day lives with their friends, families, and their on-going therapy. Their parents are INVOLVED in this site. The kids are victims, and future witnesses in a criminal case--so they must be shielded from involvment in this type of forum.
