you must not be on the inside mr mike. I was in the lighthouse home 2000-2001 and it is a totally different view from the inside.  the church members dont get to see the hell that goes on behind the church scene. they just say oh these guys behave really well they are so disciplined.  that is because they dont want to run around a lap track til jesus comes or dig a damn hole in the ground for weeks. maybe you didnt know that .

The anchor is not a bad place.

Thanks

Bro Mike"

I wasn't in anchor But my brother was.... And I have to say this It rocked his world he has never been the same. And I do not mean that in a good way. They did bad things to him. Bad things happen to us in life, But when it comes from a religious base establishment it seems to be twice as bad because they use God to hurt people and that is just wrong. Shame shame shame on you!

I heard the Barretts moved to Fair Grove, MO. They are divorced. Brenda and Walt are not together either.

Bro Mike,
I believe you are a caring person, and probably a righteous man.  However, we were sent away by our parents to get "fixed".  That is the ultimate rejection.  We have to live with the fact that we weren't good enough for them, and then we get sent to a place that makes us feel we aren't good enough for God unless we live by their rules.  I know that is not what they mean to do, but it is the message we as young, impressionable children received.  Adult Christian mentors are indeed necessary, but not in that way.  Jesus preached love and condemned the pharisees.  It was His love that changed the world, not condemnation.  Can't you see the struggle we had to go through to find self-acceptance after the homes?

If this is the Bro. Mike who was at Anchor when it was in Belton, Missouri, then you know what went on there. If it is you, I curse you for a lifetime of pain and emotional scars that never completely healed!! The way you sorry bastards laid hands on me and did things and allowed others to do things to me is the most unexcusable, unforgivable humiliation a human being can endure! I am now 34, but I will never forget the things that happened to me at the age of 16!
One day God will judge you for the things you did "In his name" and then you will know what it was like to be in our shoes!
