The Stuart you mentioned is Stuart Grannick.

The girls I heard were dead are:

Gena Golden
Alison Boggs
Michele Karr
Sheila Condon

But I don't know the validity of the reports.

Indeed! I'd double check every rumor about death and missery among former Straightlings. A lot of it is bunk created by Program staff and parents to prop up their moral lessons about the perills of not working one's program. According to program lore, I myself spent years as a heroin addicted prostitute in Ft. Lauderdale. Just ask my mother and she'll tell ya.'

OTOH, if you check your facts, you'll find a whole lot of verifiable sad stories among Program graduates and non graduates alike.

The Internet is now safe for free speech.

Linch, are you sure about Marilee?"

OK I think this thread has listed maybe 6 girls that were there when I was. Who is Cristie R, is she the younger girl, I think she was maybe 13, who came in the middle of 89 (or was that Christina)? Michele was my oldcomer for a while, I didn't know about her. And Marilee? I hadn't heard that either, I hope that's not true. I remember her mom a lot, I think that was like my second host home.

I remember when they cut Sheilas hair off and they called her "Darth Vader" ...Yah all those chicks were in there on my program..
Program...somehow that word isnt fitting. Also I dont think you can really OD on crystal. Not to the point of death..Unless you did like 2 grams IV with no tolerance..which would fall under suicide..
Heroin, my friends, is a whole nother bag.

And post like these are most often written by Program graduates, almost always by Program vets. You do the math!

If I am of the opinion that it is inexpedient to assign to the government the task of operating railroads, hotels, or mines, I am not an "enemy of the state" any more than I can be called an enemy of sulfuric acid because I am of the opinion that, useful though it may be for many purposes, it is not suitable either for drinking, or for washing one's hands.
