I just read this entire piece and was absolutely shocked.  How they lied to him and his family. It's terrible how they ruin families like this.

History gives us a kind of chart, and we dare not surrender even a small rushlight in the darkness. The hasty reformer who does not remember the past will find himself condemned to repeat it.

They lie to the children to break them down. They want them to believe that their parents don't care anymore.  The case managers tell parents what they want to hear.  Any program that prevents parents and children from interacting is not appropriate. These programs tear families and parent/child relationships apart instead of helping to mend them.

Psychedelics often produce psychotic and even violent behavior in those who have never used them.

I went to Spring Creek, and I graduated.  Why it was no walk in the park.  In no way did they ever once try to convince me that my parents didn't care.  They did quite the opposite.  When I went in, me and my mom had a really bad relationship.  Now it is completely different.

Why is it that you will believe all of the negative stuff you read on the internet about these places, but won't even listen to anyone that says anything positive about them?  I bet you are the same people that tell your kids not to believe everything you read or see on tv.

Brown, so you made it through in 14 months, and stayed after you turned 18? They must of had you shakin' in your boots huh? :scared: So you were 4 months into the program...and then had the opportunity to leave and get on with your life- but you chose to stay at a psudo-cult? Sounds a little strange if you ask me.... maybe you can explain why.

You should exchange emails with Perri, and you can discuss how you guys love the program and how you wouldn't be alive without it. We've heard it all before man. Come back in 10 years and tell us the same thing... please.

Are you so caught up with yourself that you can't even listen to another person's point of view?  You know what scares me, is that there are people out there as ignorant as you.  If you don't want to read what I write thats great, don't read it.  If telling me to go away and to come back in ten years makes you feel better.  Go ahead.  It doesn't really bother me.

Your right I did graduate in 14 months.  And I am proud of that.  They in no way had me "shakin' in my boots."  I chose to stay after I turned 18 because I wanted to.  I knew that by staying I would be better off.  Say whatever you want.  You call it a "psudo-cult?"  Thats cool, call it whatever you want.  It worked for me.  And it worked for a lot of the other kids that were there the same time I was.

Keep posting under Anonymous.  It is really easy to criticise other people that way isn't it?  At least I lend a little credibility to what I am saying.  Anyone that want's to get in touch with me has an email address to contact me.  You?  All you do is come on here to do is to criticise others.  You don't actually add ANY inteligent thoughts.

I just read your entire story and I want to say that you are one strong boy. I hope you have a wonderful life and that somehow you are able to reunite with your family. If not, remember there are a lot of good people out in the world. We can choose our friends, not our families. My own step-father was abusive and I don't have anything to do with him any more. I've learned to live with it and find happiness with others. Good luck to you!! I hope you were able to reunite with your mother. I am sure those were all lies as well, at least I hope so.

Another fine example of how the Program "works". I'm sure Brown believes what he says. And I'm equally sure it's 100% bullshit. The Program doesn't really make your life better. It just makes you a really good salesman who works for free.
