I went to Hyde School in 1976 and never heard of
either of those terms. I guess that a lot can
change in 29 years so they must have been added
since then. If OD or anyone else can explain
I'd be greatful.

The problem with the "teen help" industry is that it's a bad "solution" in search of a problem.

Outposts consist of Hyde's own wilderness programs.

i went to outpost two years ago when i went to hyde. It was during the winter and one of the kids we were with got one of the worst cases of frostbite the group leader had ever seen.

tommyfromhyde1:
Did the kid who got frostbite get treated for it? And on a related note, was the kid accused of faking it or self-inflicting it?
I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use

Outpost is a perfect place to have nowadays...
Hyde's taking all these medicated, LD, etc...kids and they disrupt the flow of school so much, it's a perfect place to ship 'em off to!
