What experiences and history teach is this-that people and government never have learned anything from history, or acted on principles deduced from it.

It's title. It's called The Seedling. Think it might be about a person? I just came accross it the other day. Listening to some Jack Johnson and reading up on the guy. I had NO idea surfers had so much going on upstairs! Anyway, JJ scored this film. Dunno about the title. Thought maybe somebody around here might know what that's about.

Are we at last brought to such humiliating and debasing degradation, that we cannot be trusted with arms for our defense? ... If our defense be the real object of having those arms, in whose hands can they be trusted with more propriety, or equal safety to us, as in our own hands?

Hey, I used to surf.

Use that knowledge to prove either side of that equation.

My husband who was in the seed back in the early 70s, was a surfer for years....he surfed from the time he was 10 until he couldnt physically do it anymore due to his neck injuries and bad knees. He posts here too.  He scored one of the highest scores on his SAT ever in his high school. He has an extremely high IQ. He got his library card when he was 2 1/2 and was in the newspaper due to being the youngest child in Broward county to receive one. I doubt he would appreciate the comment about being surprised that surfers had so much going on upstairs. Stereotyping has never been a good thing.

Thomas Campbell just made another surf movie called Sprout. I haven't seen it yet but the soundtrack is excellent, so mellow. Jack Johnson plays with the Sprout House Band on a couple of songs. The album is a bunch of different artists.
