Finallly watched it last night. Man, what a great film! Yeah, I know - I'm waaaay behind with movies; so what? I'll bet it's just as good today as it was when it came out.....has anyone NOT seen it yet?

Have you seen "The End of Suburbia"? Another good one. Peak Oil and wisdom from an urban planner. Something to think about.

I've never seen the movie... the book was astounding.  Frightening stuff.  Sound familiar?

I listen to WMNFG.org, so it was big secret to me. It's all about oil. Not democracy.You can hear a lot of confessions of former CEO hitmen and other ousted Republicans on this station. It's in Tampa. Even 'Nam was about oil.  :eek:

I know I am. In the future, since it's unlikely I can afford a hybrid car, I would like to get a diesel auto and convert it to run on waste vegetable oil/biodiesel. Prefer VW van, 4wd. I also used a lot more heating oil this winter since i ran out of firewood. And, my community needs a lot more bike/foot paths, I would fear for my life riding down the road i live on.
