Friend of Student:
I never said my name or my friends name, so hopefully they had no idea, I never even gave away any information in which they could use to figure out who i was friends with... I can tell my friend is miserable, in the pictures you can see it in their eyes... I hope they will talk to me when they get home, i know at first it will be odd but they know i care about them, a hell of a lot, im one of the few that ever did care and the only one that will stick around through anything... Im not sure what to think about Whitmore anymore, all i know is i dont want my friend back there, but i dont know how i can change their parents minds, they really believe it has helped their child become the child they used to be, and that in its self is not normal! a child grows up and does just that, grows up, they change thats part of life, somemay be for the positive some for the negative but through it all it makes them who they are... why change these kids all around, keep the good and get rid of the bad thats all that needs to be done, dont take everything away and turn them to dirt!!

Is your friend coming home for good this summer, or just for a family visit? If it is just for a short family visit--then you need to talk to him alone to try and find out what HE thinks about Whitmore himself. He he doesn't want to go back-then he may need the help of another adult to help convince his parents to let him stay at home.

It will be interesting to hear how the former students who went back for Parents Weekend react to Cheryl's sense of CONTROL after being away from Whitmore for awhile. Will these students just fall back into the being controlled mode, or will they be more resistent to her? Might be interesting to hear their reaction after being away from it 24/7.

It may be time for Cheryl to take all these kids back to Provo for a  movie outing!
She is about due for a raving maniac scene!

I think if the kids come back and stick to what they have "learned" at whitmore, they will get their ass kicked by all the people that they used to be friends with! Their friends will feel so betrayed n pissed... I mean if my friend comes back and really refuses to talk to me bc they were told not to, jesus christ! will i be fucking pissed! thats just gay! my friend just needed to go to a simple hospital where they could get help with their problems right then, they just needed to get some help not go off to some "school" to get an education, they could have gone to our local public school and get a MUCH better education rather then some bull shit placed in their head!!
