Don't make the mistake of believing the investigations will stop at just *one*.
Darrington has a little problem. It's right in the back yard, figuratively, of plenty of people with the incentive to watch them like a hawk.
This ain't the boondocks of Utah. Elijay may be the boonies, but the culture is quite a bit different here.
In Utah, being "Saints" gives WWASPies a get out of trouble free card because other Saints just assume any criticism is religious persecution and it's hard to get them to pay attention.
In Georgia, the very real southern honor code governs. Ever heard the local expression "like white on rice"? Hidden Lake may be able to function in this state, but WWASPS had better mind its P's and Q's---because Georgia won't let them get away with half the crap they got by with in Mexico, or get by with in Jamaica or Utah.
Voters in Georgia have a nasty habit (from the POV of less than scrupulous politicians) of holding them to that regional honor code. There are a lot of things slimey politicians can get away with in Georgia. Violating that unwritten code isn't one of them.
WWASPS has standard practices that violate that local cultural code---and I don't know about other folks, but I'm pretty good at talking to local politicians.
Maybe WWASPS will shape up an conform to local standards. Maybe. If they don't, their duration of operation in this state is liable to be quite limited.
I can't help their opening a facility here. Done is done. But I can strongly suggest that, given their history, they mind their P's and Q's.
