The Wages of RocknRoll, Drugs and Sex

or  What a Drag It Is Gettin' Old

Today I was listening to my kid's Green Day CD, dancing, playing all the air instruments, using the vacuum cleaner wand like a mic. I was having such a good time that I didn't hear my kid and his buddy come in until I saw them in the door with their mouths hanging open.

I don't know which one of us was more embarassed.

Kid confiscated "his" CD and stalked out. The neighbor kid averted his eyes and followed.

I crept down to the basement to console myself with the computer. I'd smoke a cigarette too, except the little nazipants upstairs would probably rat me out to his Dad.

What's the matter with kids today?

I do not consider it an insult, but rather a compliment, to be called an agnostic. I do not pretend to know where many ignorant men are sure.

Hey ! Thanks!

I'm glad some people have that faith. I don't have that faith. If there is a God, a caring God, then we have to figure he's done an extraordinary job of making a very cruel world.

I saw this movie, Stolen Childhoods. There was one part about Mexican Indians picking tobacco. They were using so much pesticides the children of the workers were getting cancer. (They all lived right there by the field.)

Learned something the other day.
In the state of Georgia, you could suffer a larger fine/penalty for having an unregistered cotton plant on your acreage than you would for a garden of cannabis! (I could explain why but it would be boring.)

A man is accepted into a church for what he believes and he is turned out for what he knows.
