In the mid to late 90s, a grandfather drove up at night to see his grandson. Grandma was in the car, too. There was a large braided rug in the admin building that people kept tripping on.
This old guy, who was able to drive up the mountain at night, tripped on the rug. He broke his hip and died at Loma Linda hospital from this injury.
Staff who were in the building were hushed by an administrator when they tried to tell paramedics what actually happened - "he tripped on the rug" became "he fell." Does anyone know anything about this?
