"Hey Webcrawler....
I always noticed a divide in Motely Crue fans - ones that like them before they "lost their edge (& the makeup)" so to speak. For some reason I liked just about everything Crue did. But I hate Hooligan's Holiday and do prefer Old Crue (Too Fast For Love and Shout at the Devil).
And the Bon Jovi, Poison, Crue and other late 80's early 90's glam metal bands gives me different flashbacks....a long wild party that was a total blast!
Yes, I was thinking along the same lines as far as flashbacks. Wild years in 8th and 9th for sure."

I thought Tommy Lee was the hottest, but I thought Nikki Sixx was the coolest and most interesting one.

Good stuff. "Vision Thing" and "This Corrosion" are the shite!!!
starry-eyed pirate:
"Too Fast For Love" is a good album. "Live Wire" rules. "Shout At the Devil" aint as raw, and after that i went into Str8. i saw Crue 3 times between '82-'84. Motley Crue has sucked since about 1985 anyway. Bon Jovi has always sucked and is an embarrassment unto himself. Black Sabbath !! Now there's a great Metal Band. i also dig Iron Maiden and Metallicas' early stuff !!
Peace and Anarchy.
Froderik:
Your mention of a song called Live Wire made me think of a great recording -- AC/DC Live From The Atlantic Studios which is on the Bonfire CD set, I think.
Goddamn....that's a good live performance.
