Shenandoah Boys Ranch
« on: June 15, 2004, 10:40:00 PM »
Hey guys...I know I haven't been around for a while, I'll explain and catch up later.

Has anyone heard of Shenandoah Boys Ranch???  Any info would be appreciated.

Hope all is well with everyone.

Perhaps the sentiments contained in the following
pages, are not yet sufficiently fashionable to procure them
general favor; a long habit of not thinking a thing wrong,
gives it a superficial appearance of being right, and raises
at first a formidable outcry in defence of custom.  But the
tumult soon subsides.  Time makes more converts than reason.

This one was in Tennessee.  There may or may not be a relationship between the two...don't know.

Society in every state is a blessing, but government even in its
best state is but a necessary evil ---in its worst state an
intolerable one; for when we suffer, or are exposed to the same
miseries by a government, which we might expect in a country without
government, our calamities is heightened by reflecting that we
furnish the means by which we suffer!

the one i am talking about is Licensed RTC in Missouri. They are not realated. The one i was talking about so far has a good record. They still moniter the kids mail and i have had talks with the staff there about it and federal mail laws. That is the only thing i have found wrong with them. They didnt even know what a esort was! The kids all come by parents or not at all and no laying about where they are going either.. I still disagree with programs such as this but in extreme cases they are needed. As of now i am leaving this one alone, they have been given a good report by the DFS and local Law enforcment. IF they ever cross the line i will step in and see to it they pay. The county prosecutor is a friend of mine, so god help them...
