Lungfish - Necklace of Heads

(1/2) > >>

Froderik:
I love this album.

RTP2003:
That's a great record....I was at a smoke shop a week or so ago and thought I recognized Lungfish being played over their stereo. I couldn't place the song, though. "This sounds like Lungfish" I said to the clerk.  "It is" he replied.  It was from a Dischord Records sampler.  I hadn't heard those guys in years.  I like the album "Rainbows From Atoms" a lot, too, particularly "Creation Story" and "Axiomatic".  Do you know those guys, Frod?  I think they're from Baltimore, aren't they?

Froderik:
Yes I know them well, especially the singer. I was the roadie on their 1st three US tours. (early 90's) The material from Necklace of Heads, Talking Songs For Walking, Rainbows From Atoms and Pass and Stow was what they were 'touring on' back then. The second two of these albums hadn't been recorded yet.

The singer and I have known each other since high school, were in Reptile House together, he has put me up when I had no place to go or just wanted to leave where I was. He's also a great tattooer and put a lot of ink on me free of charge.

Necrophones is a good one too...Hell, they have plenty of good stuff out:

RTP2003:
The CD I had of "Necklace of Heads" had a different cover--like a picture of the Hindu goddess Kali wearing a necklace of heads.  This new cover a reissue or what?

Froderik:
No that's the original cover that the LP was released with.
