JOHN DEWEY ACADEMY
« on: August 30, 2004, 04:31:00 PM »
A friend of mine from New York from a long time ago once told me that he spent a couple days at some school back east (i don't remember which state) called John Dewey Acadamy.  He only spent a few days there, but from they way he described it, the John Dewey program sounded similar to the Cedu/Synanon mind-fuck cults.  Has anyone here ever heard of this place?  I'm just curious.

A quick Google on the name suggests it is for 'gifted' kids.  Apparently, being gifted now requires therapy!

Yes, it's for gifted kids who are troubled. It's much better than CEDU. Much.

If John Dewey Acadamy is a good place, then why are they being sued for sexual misconduct?
