working for Cedu? Why? Parents beware

It looks like serveral cedu schools are hiring.  I imagine that the jobs must have a high turn-over.

The aplication states that CEDU is an employer-at-will.   Huh -- so much for security.  The application states that applicant must be avialable 24/7.

Job description: Implement an effective substance abuse counseling program that will include: student chemical dependency assessments, individual and group counseling, on-site panels, coordination of sponsorship and relapse prevention programs. This position will participate in file documentation and partnership with the Care Management team in Individual Program Plan staffing. This position has a high level of integration with program staff and ?hands on? approach with students in daily activities and will be responsible for the training of identified counseling staff members in substance abuse counseling.

All that respondsibility, on-call, no security and the job pays just 35,000 a year.   No wonder the place sucks.  

Parents beware: Qualified and motivated staff seek will/do seek work else where.

and the min age is 18  :eek:... why would you have an 18 yr old working for cedu??

that's funny considering extended custody.. imagine having a counselor that was older than the students. ha.
i totally almost tried to werk at cedu, but that isn't happening now.

i just don't understand what motivates people to want to work for the cedu system...   :silly:
