What can anyone tell me about Safe Houses.  I've been told that these are off campus houses that people can request to go to when stress gets to much.

Any comments?

I believe Safe Houses have to have a foster care home license.  CEDU escorts comprise most of these homes as well as a few law enforcement officers in the community.  These homes are very expensive to the parents and are simply a place for kids to go when they are transitioning to the hospital or another school or to transition back into the school they just blew out of.

I was put in a "safe" house twice after running away and both times I was just locked up in a shady motel room with a big body builder guy and had to wait till CEDU was ready for my return. this was in 1999 at CEDU HS in running springs.
