original nwa captives

i  was one of the original nwa kids . we were not able to rejoin the cedu schools due to our attitudes so they built nwa around us or should i say we built it for you, since we spent 2 years building log cabins with no power tools and made dorms with plumbing etc  that we never got to use. we slept out like asscent kids for 2 years. ate nothing and were abused all day. it was the 8 of us that paved the way to a better life for you all. and trust me i am sure that life was just as abusive and scarring. the whole system sucks . it has been ten years and it still gives me chills. i am ok this instant but my life definately got more fucked up when i left nwa . anyone remember a councelor named Boomer? or Carole?[ This Message was edited by: rebel on 2004-05-17 05:56 ]

Wow, your post is very powerful. Thanks for painting such a vivid picture with words, it's not hard to imagine what a living hell this place was for you and the other 7 teens.  Hopefully, the unique bond you all share has survived and helped to get each of you through the past decade. Do you keep in touch with your fellow survivors?  How are they doing?

Yeah,  remember Carol...I was not one of "Carols Kids" though.  She had to like you...that sucked, the staff had their "favorites" that is for sure.  Hey, I remember Doogie (Dale/Jordan) he was entertainment and Kevin, too.  That is funny, a flash from the past, thats for sure.  Just thinking about them makes me smile (except for Carol).
