Dundee Ranch Academy
Anonymous:
From my understanding Dundee is under heavy investigation after parents and former staff spoke out. Hopefully the authorities will spend more than a few hours actually investigating this facility and will not be influenced somehow by the Lichfield's millions and millions of dollars. Just from my research its easy to see that Dundee has violated just about every rule in the book.
"Concerns are growing that there may be more than meets the eye at the U.S.-run behavior modification program Dundee Ranch Academy, as two new Web sites appeared this week advertising the institution as a juvenile military boot camp."

"It's not exactly the traditional "happily ever after" storybook ending, but Carey Bock is calling last week's court battle in the U.S. against her former husband a "victory for the family.""

There was a more recent story done through Tico about Dundee but i cannot find the link. If anyone has it could you post it? It was moved off their homepage to allow other news to be posted. It was titled something like "More questions raised".
Looks like Dundee may be following in the footsteps of other foreign WWASP/Teen Help facilities that have been shut down.

Hi my name's Nicole D..#279, a label given at the recently shut down Dundee Ranch Academy in Costa Rica. I attended the program for 6 months and left May 23rd, my 15th birthday, after being liberated by the embassy, PANI, and my own mother Su Flowers. My mom is an activist comparable to Carey Bock and she is speaking and acting out against WWASPS and the misfortune of the teenagers imprisoned in these programs. If you have any information that you feel would be imperative to the case against DRA, WWASPS, and especially the obviously naive and blindfolded Ken Kay, please contact either me or my mother. My email address is suflowersinamerica@yahoo.com. Any information or support would be greatly appreciated by either parents, former students, or anyone up-to-date and advocating the release of these teens from their prisons. Thank you.

Good to hear from someone who was there and is willing to speak about it.
I tend to doubt that Kay is naive or blindfolded. He may be a true believer but he certainly knows the horrific details of what goes on in WWASP programs. He either does not care since he probably makes millions of dollars doing it or he he is blinded only by his conviction that the ends justify the means. Of course that must have gone out the window at some point considering the outcomes popular among WWASP inmates.
The only way Kay could think about it:
1. WWASP students succesfully contract Post Traumatic Stress Disorder almost across the board
2. Many WWASP Students self-destruct at some point after the program
3. Many WWASP students attempt suicide at some point after the program
4. Many WWASP students have little or no contact with their parent or parents who sent them there once they no longer require their financial support.
With such wonderful outcomes, how could he not believe the ends justify the means.
Sarcasm for those who have not figured it out yet.

i was a student at dundee as well. it was not the "paridise for change" some people said it was. a lot of horable @*#! happened there, thats why it got shut down. the costa rican child wefare services were informed of the conditions there and went to investigate the facility and found the living conditions to be inhumane i can vouch for it too.
