lifeline
« on: June 18, 2002, 01:43:00 AM »
I was on staff when kids of salt lake became lifeline. There were several reasons but some of the main ones were that the parents wanted to adopt morman religous ethics, disliked the swearing, did not want to be told what to do by 18 year old staff members and they didn't like Miller interfering with their lifestyles. They may have also changed the length of treatment. I believe the parents basically ran the program - the director put in charge was very influenced by the opinions of others. This was over 10 years ago and I only have knowledge of the transition stage so it may have changed over time. You should be concerned but I wouldn't act until you find out the facts. Good luck.
