Calgary Police Service sent a contingent to Toronto.  I spoke with one of them last spring.  He told me that the highlight of his law enforcement career had been turning in his destroyed telescoping baton after beating anti-globalization protesters in the UK.  He also informed me that those English protesters were all high on pot and crack, and thus immune to pain.
