I think what the poster was inferring was at 17 years old with a 8th grade education and very little emotional immaturity he was, " no more a staff member for a treatment center then President of the United States". Danny has stated he worked at Elan from 1/77 till 8/78. But just because you are called staff/Ass. Dir. doesn't mean you actually fill the billet with the necessary educational requirements. It seems Elan didn't require them anyway.
I believe Danny stated that he was 17 yrs when he started and 19 yrs when he left. Not much time for a college education.
Anyone who attended Elan realizes that age had nothing to do with power in Elan.
An Assistant Director like Daniel Lee Bennison was pretty much the vice-president.
It's about power and control not age.
