Caveat emptor. I think the Teen Help industry is very like the patent medicine industry back around the turn of the century. All these hucksters playing on people's fears and selling unproven and often dangerous cures for maladies that, very often, didn't exist.

The Pure Food and Drug Labeling act improved that situation remarkably in just a few years. Then came Harrison to reverse the improvement far beyond the conditions initially addressed by the labeling act.

All we really need is a well informed populace that understands that there is no warranty, either on kids or on newage treatments and that won't be so easily suckered by these hucksters.
