I don't know if what I am about to say has already been touched on (or maybe I am being "Captain Obvious" here), but I thought it worth mentioning: After WWII, the US hired a lot of the same German scientists who developed the nerve gasses used in the concentration camps. It makes me wonder what other 'scientists' they may have hired...
