Restraints in Europe and the US
« on: August 14, 2011, 12:39:06 PM »
Here is a video of the self-announced commandor of the Norwegian Freedom fighters who gunned 69 teenagers and young adults down in Norway  while he is showing the police around on the Island where the killings took place last month.

Link to video

Please notice that he is wearing a bullet proof west and a harness with an ordinary rope attached to it. No leg-restraints, handcuffs.

If a teenager in some states steals candy in a store they are in full restraint when they appear in front of the judge.

If a murderer can wander around without special restraints while showing the police and court personal how he did then why all that security when teenagers are committing petty crimes?

For the 69 killings he will be severely punished according to local standards. He is risking between 21 and 30 years of prison.

In Norway there is no such thing as life without parole unless he is declared as insane.

Because he gained some support right wing forces in Israel and to some extend right wing forces in the United States declaring this camp as Pro-palestina training camp, I doubt that Norway will offend either of these countries by declaring him insane.

We have similar camps in our parliamential system. Politics is a family matter and for many young girls / boys they are taken to these camp both to learn about politics but more important they are presented as good marriage potential for older politicians. This week a German politician had to quit his office due to a relationship with a 16 year old girl and here in Denmark a politician had to apologize because he slept with a 15 year old girl. He is still in the parliament. He wouldn't if he had slept with a girl he had picked up on the streets but because it happened at such a camp such relationships can be excused.

I find it so awful that this camp was attacked. It can hurt us a lot because the youth out there would supposed to occupy the seats in our parliaments some 10-15 years into the future.

Here is some of the criticism of these camps:

Utoya - a not so innocent youth camp?, Zalmi blog

Here is what these youth camps is about
