No, the IVth says "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized." The IInd says you have a right to defend yourself.

Really? You think this is probable cause? Some jerk making up outrageous stories on the net?

Thanks, but no thanks. I think we've had just about all of this kind of 'help' that we can stand.
He, who has nothing, and who himself belongs to another, must be defended by him, whose property he is, and needs no arms. But he, who thinks he is his own master, and has what he can call his own, ought to have arms to defend himself, and what he possesses; else he lives precariously, and at discretion.

Ginger, its just so amusing to me when people misinterpret the constitution to see it as something to protect them, and only them. As I know you are well aware, The constitution does indeed protect "Nazi" or whatever this blantant idiot is calling himself these days, and when he uses satire, racial slurs, or whatever, he is protected. His threats have to have real meaning behind them in order to inact a "crime" as seen by the very unconstitutional and hopefully soon to be repealed patriot act.

Now, again as I know you know,  this in no way prevents you from censoring his actions, because Fornits is a privately owned business and these constitutional protections in no way force you to provide a soapbox for him or anyone else. You have however made it clear on your stance, that all words will stand/fail on their own merit, and that should be respected by all here (just don't try it on the SDF, because I will Def delete this type of bullshit...but hey, that is my right)

The constitution of the united states was formed for one primary reason;  to protect us, american citizens, from our own government. It was brilliant, especially in the context of when it was written. It is the thin line between us and a totalitarian/oppressive government.

Now, Nazi and others,  carry on and continue to make asses out of yourselves here. Ignore the real purpose of this forum, ignore the people who were hurt and come here seeking solace, seeking healing and understanding. Instead show them how you haven't evolved one iota since your teenage incarceration.

It is your lawfull right to do so....

The people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. ... All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.

I know, Greg. But have you noticed that all the Elan forums, except for Ken's, have been effectively shut down this same way? I'm not entirely sure Nazi isn't trying to bait me into censoring the site. It might amount to a full time job if I started at it that way. I'm trying a different tack.

The more corrupt the state, the more numerous the laws.

GregFL:
I completely understand and support your decision to keep this a free and open forum. Unfortunately, some people don't appreciate, respect or understand what they have.

Speculations on the Origin of Human Intelligence: "In defense of the Pygmies, perhaps I should note that a friend of mine who has spent time with them says that for such activities as the patient stalking and hunting of mammals and fish they prepare themselves through marijuana intoxication, which helps to make the long waits, boring to anyone further evolved than a Komodo dragon, at least moderately tolerable. Ganja is, he says, their only cultivated crop. It would be wryly interesting if in human history the cultivation  of marijuana led generally to the invention of agriculture, and thereby to civilization.
