Ping Ponging Tuition

Ridge Creek School has raised the tuition back up.

http:// Ridge Creek Boarding School Tuition$4,800 per month Unfortunately, family problems do not respect economic cycles. They come regardless of our financial ability to deal with them. At Ridge Creek School, we understand this painful reality. This is the reason that we have created a truly unique and effective program for teens in crisis. Ridge Creek School offers the intensive curative therapy and accredited college preparatory academic curriculum of a therapeutic boarding school along with the grounding, confidence-building that comes from an adventure experience in a 12 month program that is both affordable and proven effective for a wide gamut of adolescent issues.Situated on 210 picturesque acres in the North Georgia Mountains, Ridge Creek School is a fully accredited therapeutic boarding school with a "Quality" rating. RCS offers intensive one-on-one and group therapy for adolescents in crisis as well as a structured, individually designed, college-prep academic curriculum. In addition, all Ridge Creek students take part in foundation and confidence building an adventure experiences that can, and do, facilitate paradigm shifts in the attitudes and health of adolescent participants. We, the faculty and staff of Ridge Creek School, are proud of our success rate and the ability that we have to reach and help a wider range of students, due to the affordability of our tuition along with the financial aid and scholarship packages that we offer. $4,800 per monthCALL NOW 800-394-0640

Advisory Council

In an effort to further encourage the developmental growth and confidence in Ridge Creek School we have created an Advisory Council. It is our hope that by viewing a list of people by their home state, who vouch for the integrity of the school, will give prospective parents the encouragement to call and discuss the possible enrollment opportunities for their child.

Staff list is updated with some of the new people, not all.   Jennifer Staller is on staff, counseling, but she is not listed. They somehow cannot figure out how to remedy editing out the staff that are no longer there.
Gone:
Chris Grimwood
Clay Erickson
Don Mull
Paige LeFevre Mitts
Ryan King

Just to name a few.  How quickly RCS removed Cheryl Tantangelo.... there is a back story there.

Jill Ryan:
According to reports, Anne Edens replaced a counselor that was forced out because she was not in agreement with admitting inappropriate children; citing staff that had no qualifications to work with autistic children, adjudicated children, or apparently, anyone else .

Agency admission policy indicates that the agency does not accept adolescents diagnosed with Conduct Disorder or who would fit the profile of Conduct Disorder, who are actively suicidal, residents with Anti-Social Personality Disorder, or who would fit the profile of Anti-social Personality Disorder, residents who have felony arrest records or who have a history of violence against people or animals.

Sounds familiar.  Will in-house emails be released again?

Yesterday, the Governor's office representative suggested contacting the Independent Private School Association(does that exist?), writing a summary, cut and paste thousands of pages of documents(duh, no email available for the Governor’s Office for attachments),or mail the thousands of docs, file a law suit(reply, “sue the state?"), then back to "writing a summary." That was after the reporting of four attempted suicides since September and the countless other insane incidents.  Interesting scenario - tort law and the state.....

The US DA's office, the kindest of the lot, suggested, well just use your imagination. Aw, it is too good to hold back “FBI;” response, "what about the GBI?"
The day before, the ORCC top guns, well years later informed a concerned advocate that they are "looking into things."  Meantime, over the years, the investigators have repeatedly done their job...

The LCSO appears not to mind their "occasional" calls, but they have not checked in with the taxpayers.  They must have ADD/ADHD  ... it has taken them near a month to charge four perps for an assault and that is with the ORCC blessing.  Only problem is they waited too long ... two of the perps reportedly have split.

RCS, even amongst their industry insiders has turned itself into a laughing stock.  Wagers are being taken on prospective new names for the school.  Double down and pick the month of the new name inauguration, and you walk away with the entire pot!

Now, the rest of us would be laughing, but we cannot because "Animal Farm" was a book, then a movie.  These are live children, from whatever walk of life, they bleed; some faster or slower than others, but they bleed.

It may not be too far off for depositions of the former and current staff, including the former CFO, Accountants, Counselors, Admissions Staff, LCSO, EMS,ORS/ORCC administrative management, former Directors of both HLA and RCS, former psychiatrists, former shredders, the GAO agents, CRH hospital …several hospitals, the blessed investigators, parents and children with conflicting reports, those involved with out-of- court settlements, the state board of psychology, and a myriad of others  that turned their backs on our children to take place.  Miracles do happen.

READ MY LIPS ALL YOU COWARDS

One child is too many to  have been taken down from a rope and you can bet your boots that if it was a child of the upper echelon head- scratchers in the state agencies, it wouldn’t take since 2001 to have a “sit-down” and discuss Ridge Creek School.  If it was your brethren, RCS and the likes of it within Georgia would be closed.

RIDGE CREEK SCHOOL - A MICROCOSM OF INEVITABLE FAILURE

--- Quote ---Parents shall be placated, for now. Be sure to get in writing that RCS has insurance coverage including liability. Ask for the insurance carrier and make a call. Follow up monthly to make sure coverage is still in effect and the amount has not been lowered. As a CCI, insurance must be maintained. If your child is injured at RCS, you will want a stipulation that you shall receive documents immediately to file with your medical insurance carrier; be sure everything is documented. Do not sign any documents waiving liability for RCS or its owners.

According to the ORCC, April 08,2011, insurance is not required.

??? Wha? Please explain...

What is your source?

Jill Ryan:
Hi Ursus... I know, it boggles my mind, too.  The ORCC representative stated the above. I have looked thru  regulatory documents for two days trying to access documents that say otherwise, either with the ORCC, DJJ, kidstarga,DHR, DFCS, etc. to no avail.

Either way, parents should be aware, and no active liability insurance, no child.
