Dear Donna, I have known you for several years now, and have so much respect for what you did to get your boys back home safe. I only wish I had read your statement prior being recruited by WWASP/WWASPS. My daughter ended up in one of their programs and the results were horrific. I was desperate and they took advantage of me with the misrepresentation of their program. Since that time, back in 2000, there is now a Class Action Lawsuit against them getting ready to be filed. It is being filed by The Huron Law Group, with the support of Ed Masry and Erin Brockovich. There will be justice for our children and ourselves. Since this happened, I felt a need to give parents a resource avenue to help them when they are desperate, as I once was. I have created PURE, Inc. http://www.helpyourteens.com to help parents find safe and qualifed schools and programs and also offer a listing of adolescent local therapists. We have been approved by the Broward County School District and the Better Business Bureau. Thank you for giving us an opportunity to let parents know our experiences. What is she thinking?  If she is thinking at all?  I'm not a lawyer, but this looks like defamation to me...not to mention she didn't share with this school district what programs and schools she refers parents to.  What does this say about this school district- blindly posting something like this?

I hope WWASPS gets wind of this one.

Okay, I just realized this school has a forum where parents can post anything.  It still seems very wrong to allow this sort of advertisements, from any group on a school forum.

Let me tell ya'll a little bit about Broward County School District! It took me 9 years to finally decide that no formal education was better than sending my kids to BCS.

I once knew a girl who threatened to slug the assistant principal at Deerfield High. I'd been hearing about this assistant principal, Mrs. Free, for a couple of years, from good kids who never got into trouble as well as the ones who always did. She was just one of those mean spirited, small minded people that loved shoving the kids around.

Well, this one day, she walks int a classroom and starts telling everyone to sit down. Nothing wrong with that, but the tone and demeanor she always used. Then she put her hands on this one girl and told her, and I quote, "You sit the fuck down or I'll knock you into next week." So cliche, I know. But there were several witnesses. She really said it. So the kid put her fist up and dared her to do it.

Did this alleged adult get called down for threatening violence on students? Hell no! The kid got arrested for threatening to defend herself, taken down to the Juvenile Intervention Facility a half hour's drive away, given Welbutrin (to manage her 'anger problem') and the mother informed that the kid would be staying till they determined how best to treat her pathology.

Then there was the day I volunteered for a book sale and heard the art teacher in the next room cursing at students, then there was a scuffle with chairs and tables scraping accross the floor followed by a loud thump on the wall. I guess he didn't get the memo that parents would be there that day. The whole room went silent in shock, except for the staff who just looked frightened and embarrased and I, who wasn't really that surprised.

I'm sure BCSD will be fertile recruiting grounds for PURE. They already regard their students as dangerous animals and I'm sure they won't have any problem at all with the tactics employed by the escort services.

Is Erin Brockovich REALLY okay with Sue Scheff name dropping to further the monetary gain she is receiving by WWASP slamming?  

I also read the BCSD Forum and see that WWASP also posted, BIG DIFFERENCE is that they didn't bash/slam anyone in the process.

When will this Sue Scheff stand on her own merit, if she has any merit, and quit bashing to make a living scaring the hell out of parents?
