I like Clare a lot. That being said, my problem with her and other Elan directors is that they conceal their faults and try to come across as perfect people in their present lives. And their claim that "the thing that sets Elan staff apart from those at other places is that the staff are not corrupt" is absolute baloney.
I don't think it's right to bash her for filing for bankruptcy, especially if you're not a single parent with two kids. I had some financial problems in my years after Elan (before I discovered how to fix credit problems for good). But having found out several of the Elan directors' flaws the hard way and having caught the Elan staff out on multiple lies, I really feel that many are a bunch of hypocrites for telling us to live honest lives. For that reason and others, I would NEVER send my kids to Elan. I say that with respect for Clare, Marc, Drew, Marian, Jim Collins, Terri Volk and very few other people. Of course, I would rather tolerate my kid's abuse than turn him over to Tania, Peter Rowe, Marty or any of the other criminals.
Now, that being said, the Elan Reporter and his assistant are very fucking funny, in my opinion, if you subscribe to their sense of humor. I'm the type of guy who can't stand Ellen DeGeneres and loves Sam Kinison, so I kinda get a kick out of it. I've had my battles with Nazi and (if I can guess who he is) his assistant too, but really, those posts about Marty are pretty creative (I differ with him on Clare and Marc --and Tania can walk off a cliff for all I care).
But even if you don't find them funny, who the fuck cares? This is Fornits, not CNN.com! Nobody takes this shit seriously. I've had THE WORST possible shit posted about me and it hasn't killed me. And I mean, does anybody really fucking think that Marty chants "hiyuh hiyuh" and abducts little boys for his tepee and rapes moose or whatever the hell his flavor of the month is? (He does, on the other hand, wear outdated clothing and is a really corrupt horse's ass, in my opinion. But I digress.) So if it's not your cup of tea, IGNORE it. This isn't Elanalum.com and people are going to post whatever the hell they want, even if it's that you, yes you, sacrifice stray kittens at dawn for Chinese food and fuck their assholes.
