Students from HLA who have died.

(1/1)

Guest3:
The number of students from HLA/Ridge Creek who have reportedly died since leaving there is disturbing.

This is the list I've gathered so far (I don't know some of their last names so please clarify or add to the list):

Patrick Kennedy
Zach Botas
Brad Myers
Chad Decker
Kathy DeYoung
Tyson
Steve
Hank
Maria
Jack

Ursus:
Tyson would be Tyson Tully, R.I.P., November 3, 2008, age 25. See also the following thread for more details:

I dont understand why 10 deaths would be disturbing (I do understand that it is disturbing when anyone dies).  Is this much more than average?  Are kids who go to schools like HLA more apt to die earlier, live riskier lives, more prone to depression?  Would this skew the average?

If we took a similar cross section of children and withheld the help/hurt they received at HLA/Ridge Creek and hoped for the best would we see a lower death rate? Say 7?  or a higher death rate at maybe 15?

I have many more than 10 who have died in my highschool graduating class alone.  If I looked at everyone who attended there would be 1,000's of deaths.  So I guess my question is what is the benchmark we are measuring against to determine if 10 deaths is above average or below average.

Are the 10 truly disturbing or should we be happy that there are only 10 after all this time?
