Koran Burner

The Florida pastor who is planning to burn a pile of Korans this weekend runs a church that has established a variety of cult-like rules for individuals studying to become ministers, according to the group’s “rulebook.”

Did anyone expect anything less from that nutbag?   Somehow I don't think he gets the meaning of "outreach".   It's too bad he's gotten so much press.  If the media hadn't run with it, this would've been pretty much a non-event, given that he's got, what...less than 50 members?  And I have a feeling that number will be declining fast once people get a look at that "rulebook".

The actual rulebook is here...http://www.thesmokinggun.com/file/dove- ... ook?page=0

I'm not a fan of burning the Koran. It does no good. If I thought it was any good at all, I'd be for it.

Not because our Troops would be in any more danger. They are not in any more danger than they were a month ago. They are not in any more of a useful mission, now, than a month ago... or 8 years ago.

If a Pastor, with 50 members of a church, in America, can alter the War effort... maybe we better figure something else out.

During WWII the U.S. government was actually against the enemy.  I know that type of idea is unheard of now, but back then the U.S. government would make films against the ideology that drove the enemy.

There were no Nazi is the religion of peace campaigns... In fact you might of ended up in a camp somewhere for saying that.

Imagine burning Mein Kampf... how horrible, bigoted, hateful...

We were very bad people.

Who is the enemy, Stony?
"After surveilling USS Liberty for more than nine hours with almost hourly aircraft overflights and radar tracking, the air and naval forces of Israel attacked our ship in international waters without warning. USS Liberty was identified as a US naval ship by Israeli reconnaissance aircraft nine hours before the attack and continuously tracked by Israeli radar and aircraft thereafter. Sailing in international waters at less than five knots, with no offensive armament, our ship was not a military threat to anyone."
