Kids lie, especially the types of kids that go to these programs. I am not saying stuff didn't happen. I acculally belive there was abuse. If it did it was because of the staff, there are sick people out there, look at fathers that abuse thier kids, they snap and YES it is imoral and WWASP programs do there best to not have that happen.
YES IT IS TOUGH LOVE. I am not saying that i liked it but it taught me so much. Before i was depressed, using drugs, hating myself, hating god..... Now i am happy i can live a good life. IS IT PERFECT, NO. But look at what it can do and has done."
OK,but there is another path.
If you want to shock children in to good behavior, then drop them off somewhere in South Mexico with just enough money to get home.
This is not as dangerous as it sounds, and when the child arrives home, the experience of the "voyage home" will have the same effect to "slap in the face" or "wake up" the child to reality.
These sicko programs are no good for people.
Just open your check book and turn your child over to the "professionals"?
Not a good choice.
Drag the kid out from behind the TV,or out of the men's room at the bus station and drop them off in a foreign country, and theres nothing wrong with you joining them on their journey, but its easier for you to ship them off to a program.
